🧡 Gorgeous Metallic 💫 Swipe Painting ~ My Best One Yet! Acrylic Pouring | Fluid Art

This just might be my favorite painting! I'm so happy with how this one came out. I used metallic paint on a black background and swiped with white. I was going for a simple design with some negative space. I'm still getting used to the swipe paintings and how to create a composition that I like. Anyone who has tried this style knows how challenging it can be to create a good composition 😂 but I love this one!

RECIPE:
Amsterdam Paint - Titanium White and Oxide Black,
Pebeo Paint - Gold and Copper
Soho Paint - Bronze
Black, gold, bronze, and copper - mix with pouring medium mixture 1:1, then add water 70:30 (Paint/pouring medium to water)
Pouring Medium Mixture - Golden Medium Gloss to Creative Inspirations Gloss Medium and Varnish 70:30
White - mix with Australian Floetrol 1:3, then add a small amount of water to thin to the same consistency as the other paints.

Absolutely beautiful! I watch a lot of these channels and I greatly enjoy pleasant music in the background during the painting process as opposed to incessant talking. Classical piano is a great choice.

OMG… Stunning!!! It was funny because I was putting my make up on and I saw the results and I looked back down and you were scraping the paint up… And my first reaction was no way she scraped that… So I rewound it and watched it again and realized you were scraping up the leftovers from the table… Lol I was like that picture was amazing no way she would scrape it and it was it’s absolutely gorgeous… I too am a huge fan of the metal metallics and you did a fabulous job

Stunning piece! ❤ Those colours really compliment each other and the design is fascinating. I’d like to know why you were using the blow torch. Does heating up the paint allow less friction when using the trowel or is there another reason? Thank you for sharing.

Subscribed! That's a beautiful painting. I read the description and I'm still not clear what you're suing for a pouring medium. Can you elaborate? Are you using varnish in the medium?

What do you put on top to seal and shine the picture? Varnish? Can you explain more? I’m a newbie.

I like to use Amsterdam high gloss varnish on my paintings. I wait 4 weeks after the painting is done to varnish to make sure it’s really dry. Amsterdam is self leveling so no brush strokes! The only downside is the smell is very strong so I do it in my garage with an organic vapor mask on. There’s lots of other varnishes you can use though! 😅 I know a lot of people use Liquitex varnish.

What does the burner do to the paint finish please?

It is a handheld butane torch used to pop air bubbles in the paint. Always move the torch quickly, don’t burn the paint and use caution with the torch ☺️
