いつもは弟のキンタロウと優しく遊ぶ兄ゲンタロウ。
でもこの頃のゲンタロウは時々キンタロウを掴んで引きずることがありました。
(1:33〜)この時もゲンタロウがキンタロウの足を掴んで引きずったので、悲鳴をあげたキンタロウをすぐにゲンキが抱き寄せました。
だからこの頃のゲンキは、ゲンタロウがキンタロウと遊ぶ時は警戒してました。

Gentaro usually plays kindly with Kintaro.
But around this time, Gentaro would sometimes grab Kintaro and drag him away.
At this time too, Gentaro grabbed Kintaro's leg and dragged him, causing Kintaro to scream.

⭐️モモタロウ ♂(2000/7/3)
2000年に上野動物園で誕生。
母はモモコで父はビジュ。(ビジュはモモタロウが生まれる前に亡くなってます)
2010年に京都市動物園にやって来て、ゲンキとの間にゲンタロウとキンタロウという2人の息子が誕生。
モモタロウは父親と暮らした事がないので不器用なところもありますが、２児の父として頑張ってます。
⭐️ゲンキ ♀(1986/6/24)
ゲンキは京都市動物園で、父マックと母ヒロミの間に生まれました。
京太郎という兄もいましたが(人工哺育)、すでに亡くなってます。
ゲンキは10歳の時に繁殖のために上野動物園に移動しましたが、他の雌ゴリラ達との関係悪化などあり、ストレスで自傷行為までするようになったので再び京都市動物園に戻って来ました。
それから色んな雄との経験をつみ、モモタロウと出会いました。
モモタロウはゲンキが上野動物園時代に好きだったビジュの息子でもあります。
そしてモモタロウとの間に長男ゲンタロウ、次男キンタロウが誕生しました。
ゲンキはとても母性が強く、2人の息子にもたくさんの愛情を注いでいます。
⭐️ゲンタロウ ♂(2011/12/21)
モモタロウとゲンキの間に生まれた第1子。
ゲンキの母乳の出が悪く、生後数日で衰弱してたために人工哺育で育てられました。
約10ヶ月後に無事にゲンキと同居を再開し、現在は立派なゴリラとして成長中です。
人間の事も大好きで、飼育員さんと楽しそうに遊ぶ姿もたくさん見れました。
思春期で母ゲンキを困らせる事も多々ありますが、弟のキンタロウといつも遊んであげる良いお兄ちゃんでもあります。
⭐️キンタロウ ♂(2018/12/19)
モモタロウとゲンキの間に生まれた第2子。
赤ちゃんの頃は母ゲンキに1日中抱かれてる期間が長かったので、小さく細くで心配されたりもしましたが、今はそれが嘘みたいに逞しく成長。
自己主張が激しく、気が強い一面があり、父モモタロウに怒られてもケロッとしてたりする事もあります。
今では元気に1人で動き回ってますが、まだ母ゲンキに甘えています。

Bad Gentaro. I noticed Mom brought the baby over to where the keepers are, for reassurance.❤️🇺🇸⛄️. This is one of the best videos ever of the Momo family. Has a little bit of everything going on, motherly love, older brother shenanigans and beautiful Daddy at the helm. Genki is the best gorilla Mama on KZbin, better than some human mothers. 8:58 Momo in deep thought.

Poor little Kintaro! Good thing mum Genki was right there to rescue and console him after Gentaro grabbed his leg and tried to run off with him. Genki did allow the brothers to interact, always keeping a watchful eye, or hand, on Kintaro, and warning Gentaro when he got too rough, bless her! ❤

Genki has the most adorable babies, she is extremely beautiful herself and of course daddio the handsome beastie papa! What a troop!!!! Also, Genki looking around constantly knew instantly she had to calm baby Kintaro down because big daddy heard his screams and would be looking to attack anyone who hurt him, that’s what Silverbacks do, they are good at their jobs!!!! Kintaro was such a cute baby and Gentaro at first was a little jealous but through Genkis guidance he learned to be mindful in how he played with little bro, but let’s face it Kintaro who is very confident in fearless in his play an can be that annoying little brother lol.

I’m surprised that Momotaro didn’t come running as well and he let Gentaro bother his Momma too long and you could see it was really causing her nervousness to become worse and worse. Poor Genki but Momotaro finally put his foot down with Gentaro, I think he wasn’t sure because Gentaro still had that baby scent but I see older silverbacks intervening even in these type of situations without being physically but making the older child show more submission to both him and the Mother. I think Momotaro just wasn’t sure and the fact Gentaro wasn’t reintroduced back into the family until he was about 11 months old also might’ve caused Momotaro some confusion regarding how he should handle Gentaro. Now Momotaro is doing a perfect job at being the protector from both internal stresses or disputes as well as external treats ie:like he did with the earthquake getting Genki and baby Kintaro to the safest place. I think he just had to grow up a little more and it wasn’t his or Genki’s fault that she couldn’t produce enough milk. Thankfully they worked with Genki with Kintaro letting her keep the baby with her because she was already worried and why she didn’t put him down for seven months. It also help her establish more trust with the keeper, just as she took screaming Kintaro straight over to have them help her check him out. I’m just glad she’s not as stressed but I worry about that one tooth and I pray 🙏🏼 it doesn’t damage her health anymore than it already is, problems with teeth being so close to sinuses and then the brain can escalate quickly. I’m sure they keep a good eye on her problem tooth probably daily just to look at it and may do a closer examination maybe once a month. I’m grateful that Kintaro’s appetite is skyrocketing and he’s really going be growing a lot over this year and hopefully visitors will start saying look at him growing, instead of always saying he’s so small. He’ll be just fine and will grow big just like his brother but at his own speed and he could end up being bigger once he’s grown. It’s very difficult to say how big a male will be as a silverback based on how they look as a youngster. Okay I’ve gone on enough but it reminded me on how I was so worried about Genki because she was getting abuse from everyone at the time, bless her heart ♥️ she already been through enough in one lifetime, she deserves a simple quite life with her husband and son’s until it’s their turn to move on and have they’re own families god willing.
