The sadness in gentaros eyes as he battles for his life against a father who wants him gone, and being a silverback with no access to females, hence why he tries to mate with kintaro. Better than nothing i guess. Prison life

Very worrying how all the gorilla channels(Ryan, this one) and even the zoo seem to handwave the fights occurring between Momotaro and Gentaro but apparently male male mounting is normal in gorillas as some have pointed out.

@ yeah im not so worried about the incest. This is a primitive species. They dont live by our social rules. Ive seen it in the djeeco family too. Lately ringo has been trying to mount his aunt tayari. Its fine. Whats not fine is leaving gentaro here with no females and forcing him to coexist with another silverback. Its dangerous and the more time passes, the higher the risk gets for one to get severely injured or even mortally wounded. It happens in the wild all the time. It can happen in captivity too. These animals dont know they are in captivity. They never lived in the wild so they are all gorillas just the same, and male gorillas do kill each other.

@@sheppardpaul529 LOL. It doesny really matter if theres incest. They arent humans. Incest and homosexuality is normal in the animal kingdom. All i really care about is you can see how unhappy he is. He no longer plays really at all. All he wants to do is create a family and be the protector. Thats a silverbacks goal which he cant fulfill.

@8:07 I wish the two of them were more compatible and friendly towards each other. It's sad to see how Genki,Gentaro,and Momo stay to themselves and steer clear of each other's way... Total opposite of the Shabani family, who are very, very close, if one doesn't eat, no one eats. I hope Momo will someday break down his wall.

I saw in the comments on one of the Momotaro family videos where it was said that Momotaro and Genki sometimes "talk" to each other, so that was a surprise, but a good one if so.

It's not momo's wall. Over the years he would always try to sit next to genki, but as soon as he did she would get up and move. This was a terrible pairing from the beginning. This wonderful silverback deserves to have a female his age that he can actually have a connection with. Its not going to happen with genki.

It's no wonder why she is so fat. Every time she goes to the zookeeper they give her massive piles of treats or food. Where the rest of them are lucky to get one or two.

Genki needs to be spoiled, she has her anxiety disorder and getting these treats throughout the day settles her anxiety and makes her happy. I've noticed a change in her pelt and overall self, she's been looking real good and healthy. I'm happy she's getting the attention.
