Thanks for an unbiased comparison. By you really tugging and putting effort, you really showed how strong (or not) they were. Most people would've just talked about it, but when you actually tried all those tests I was impressed, even though I already buy gorilla glue it showed me many possibilities. Excellent job, and I can't wait to see your part 2 you said on the another comment. 🦍🍌🦍🍌🦍🍌🦍🍌

Oh wow, thank you Michael! That means so much to me. I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Gorilla really is the best Hot Glue that I've found. Something else I've learned just recently is it's all about the glue gun. I've been a crafter for years & had no idea how much the glue gun made a difference. I don't know what you're working on but if you plan on using hot glue often & long term it's worth a little more money to get a good one for a few more bucks. What you're looking for is a skinny tip which makes the glue gun DRIP free so you have a no or very few glue strings. I'm only a month into my $20 gun and can't believe what I've been missing all this time. Hope this helps. You have a wonderful day. Thanks again.

Creative Living Lifestyles thanks for the tip! I’ve only just started using one and bought a cheap one, but it only takes the 7mm glue sticks, so I plan to upgrade to something bigger, so I’ll let you know how it goes.

I am just starting a lot of DIY projects and I was wondering the same thing...thank you for the video...I think I will keep both on hand and see which works better for the project at hand. I DO know that it is hard to glue smooth to smooth...you have to have a more porous surface, some projects will require a little "roughing up" of the surface... so it just depends on your project. Also...the fact the Gorilla glue dries more clear makes a huge difference too....you don't want to invest your time in a project and then have it ruined because the glue causes it to look tacky. It's DEF worth the extra $ to have a professional look.

Reg hot glue works great for me as long as i don't by them from the Dollar Tree or 99 cent store... I put up a card board chimney on a medal canopy at my apt. for Christmas and it held up through 3 storms and 30 degrees weather and i still had to force and pry it off after Christmas... I used a really high temp gun and Wal-Mart glue sticks... I use hot glue for everything, now glass and plastic i use E-6000 and a little hot glue to hold it together until it drys so I can keep working... But I like your demo...

I thought I could use a glue gun sticks to secure some insulation panels on the roof my black van in Florida.. looked fantastically secure at 6pm... well, found out the next day at mid-day that panels and glue were all over my seats and the glue looked as fresh and liquidy hot as when it came out of the gun. Any glue sticks that can handle take a super hot sun baked metal? Epoxy is messy and screw holes rust.

Bosch glue gun sticks are great because they are high viscosity which allows you to make adjustments or soak in to porous surfaces

Great video, I was wondering if I should spend the money on the Gueriila sticks. When I use hot glue on glass I take a a fine sand paper like 200 grit and break the surface of the glass, doesn't take much. It seems to hold a little better to me. Worth the time to do that. Again thanks for the video.

Thank you so much for the expamples. That was a great ideas. For the glass-on-glass "mirror" example, Can you try it on the actual mirror side and not the back to see if it will work? Because you actually put that one on the paper sticker.
@CreativeLivingLifestyles6 жыл бұрын
Lol, I know it you're right. I realized that afterwards. Actually glass and glass seem to do very well with each other. I just made a Winter Wonderland glass display box and I glued glass candle sticks to the bottom using these glue sticks with epoxy glue and gosh I felt that grab instantly. I was gonna try to scoot it just a fuzz but I couldn't move it at all. I also made some glam bathroom shelves. I glued a small mirror on top of a large mirror months ago and they're still held strong together. For heavy duty glass projects such as the glam towel rack I made out of mirrors ..... I'd recommend using this new glue called Flex glue. Idk if you've heard of it but wow wow wow!!! At the time I hadn't heard of it but I'll be using that on anything and everything that'll endure heavy traffic or force.
