She doesn't seem to get too frustrated when her attempts at climbing the wall, propelling herself up into a tree to get fruit, climbing back through the hot fence before she came to Taipei Zoo. She just tries and tried again. You can just see her thinking: how can I do this; there has to be a way! Fascinating gorilla.

Just like her mother Gyasi in the Apenheul, the Netherlands. She always found a way over or under the electrified fence to get into the trees. It is an ongoing contest between her and the keepers. Tayari is a carbon copy of her mother. Great characters.

At least she has something challenging to attempt...must be a pretty drab and boring life. Same old routine. Perhaps make a climbing structure/ rock wall for them? With a treat at the top and a rope to get back down.

She’s probably just curious to know what’s going on on the other side. The Zoo is the only thing they’ve ever known so I’m sure she’s not trying to sneak out and escape back to the Jungle. I agree that it is sad to see them stuck in a small space everyday of their lives with strange people gocking at them 8 hours a day. You can tell that it makes some of them uncomfortable. When you really think about it,it’s kind of like they’re in jail.

It would be interesting to see what she would do if she was able to make it over the wall. I think she’d turn around and go back into the enclosure. The Zoo life is all they’ve ever known so she’d probably find the outside world to be too stressful. 🤷🏻♀️

@cameliad35223 жыл бұрын
Illegal hunting or poaching is one of the main threats to gorillas and many other endangered species. There are about 680 Mountain gorillas left in the wild. There are several causes why people keep poaching gorillas, but most are profit-making related: To sell their meat. HUNTING AND TRADE. The commercial trade in bushmeat, which occurs throughout west and central Africa, is the biggest threat to gorillas today. Apes are being killed primarily to supply high-end demand for meat in urban centers, where the consumption of ape meat is considered to be prestigious amongst the wealthy elite. This is what will happen to Tayari if she goes back to the wild.

@@extremepsyche3135 Why you always should make it a food chain and not a society chain you w*ite people I don't get it. Do you see people who are different from you as food too ????????????? Let's not continue any advancement then let's stop break everything and stop if most people think like that. Let me tell you I lived in the worst environment (desert) for a long chunk of my life and let me tell you, even if you are insanely hungry, or thirsty, or in any state, you still know that other animals are no different from us really, they feel too, they want water and may follow the prey and not eat it just to find fking water, if it gets eaten it won't show you where it is. You clearly never got out of your house and lived a monstrous struggle ever in your life. If society is heading this way then someone will stand up and burn it, people who think like you a lot of them are on the top all the data they need is on their data storage and AIs they trained using you. If the hunger you seem to feel hits them then it's more logical if they torture you, throw you, stay silent and disappear with all what they gathered. If I was that kind of a person let me tell you, I would do it and will make everyone different from me burn, because the low form they are desirve it. But that's not how a peaceful society should work. Why the animosity ? What's the need of it ? No one will gain anything. We'll only lose. Before u say any of the survival of the fittest speeches, let me say to you that some don't live isolated, some live together, some "groups" were more fit , ok ? Because sometimes we had to, and that's the more beautiful society. Cooperation will break the algorithm of that theory. Which may give birth to something bigger, but ur lazy ass's won't even experience or understand that, idk if it's medically correct that a brain can store and use fat in it's cells but if it's possible than you may have that.
