Gorilla's in Apenheul, 25/3/2024.

Na de wintersluiting is het altijd extra goed om de gorilla's weer te zien. In de periode dat Apenheul dicht was zijn Bao Bao en zijn groep verhuisd naar een kleinere eiland. Kiango is alweer 3 jaar geworden. Bao Bao vond het nog niet echt fijn buiten, hij kwam niet verder dan in de deuropening.

Zilverrug Bao Bao (geboren in het wild in 1985), sinds 2018 in Apenheul vanuit Taiwan.
Mandji (geboren in het wild in 1975). Sinds 1975 in Apenheul. Moeder van o.a. Nemsi & Iriki ( nu in Taipei Zoo).
Nemsi (geboren 23/8/2001). Moeder van M'Zungu (nu in Al Ain Zoo). Pleegmoeder van Kiango.
Kiango (geboren 21/2/2021). Zoontje van Bao Bao & Gyasi.
After the winter closure, it is always extra good to see the gorillas again. During the period that Apenheul was closed, Bao Bao and his group moved to a smaller island. Kiango has already turned 3 years old. Bao Bao didn't really like it outside yet, he didn't get any further than in the doorway.
