It was a break of Character. Leukemia is not of the Tribal Chief. It's of Joseph Anoi'i. Though he is Roman Reigns, he is him in character. Tribal Chief has never mentioned the current battle of Leukemia. Leati Anoi'i does.

I was on oral chemotherapy, now stomach injections, but for autoimmune issues, rather than cancer like Roman has. He makes it sound easy, but that chemotherapy itself is a very tough battle, and falling off the wagon for even a single day can make it very difficult to get back in good health. I have so much respect for his run and especially his performance this weekend. Thank you Roman, your return and run in 2020 gave me so much inspiration to get through this, as my main autoimmune disease, rheumatoid arthritis, was diagnosed on August 26th 2020, so it coincided with a lot of his run. I'm in the best health of my life now, in a prestigious college; but nowhere near as well off or healthy as Roman haha. In sports entertainment today in this generation…just wanted to add that since it’s not really an all time accomplishment, you have top names in the top 2 positions, but more of a modern day greatest accomplishment. They should’ve had him hold the championships longer so he can get that #1 position but sadly it didn’t happen there won’t be another champion like that around for a while to contest that reign

And there you have it. For all the ppl that complained about him being a part-timer, here's your reason why. So now maybe yall can quit complaining. That's a disease that can really compromise certain things and you will have to make adjustments to everyday life. Watching a close friend go through it taught me alot about it. Big ups to Joe for being a strong human and being a chief even outside the ring in real life 🙏🏾

I lost my pops to lung cancer and my mom to ovarian cancer over 2 decades ago. I'm 46 and I have moments where the pain feels fresh again. Losing your parents is something that you never fully recover from. Reading everyone's comments telling their own similar stories makes me realize I need to stop cutting onions in moments like this, it's not good for the eyes 😢

this interview reminded me he's legit, and human and has the decency to answer personal questions like that despite being in the roman reigns character. all the more respect to him for it.

I have got to admit, he's a helluva dude and human and the bloodline is one of the best written wwe storylines in the past couple of decades. His personal journey and professional growth with Paul have been incredible.

Just Mad respect to him. To be able to work that crazy schedule and put on amazing show after show while on chemo is nuts. True passion there. He could have taken a year off but still kept going. Def inspirational.

One of the things that’s crazy: these MFers are like family to us. So I’m glad to hear he’s continuing to do good. It has been a lot of fun watching Roman ascend to the man/wrestler he is today.

Cancer sucks Man! I was raised by my Grandparents and my Grandma had colon and my Granddaddy had prostate. I'm 50 and I started getting checked around 45 because of my family history. Keep fightin! 👍🏼💯💪🏼

Ok I did think it was weird that mcafee said that. I thought he just meant in the past. The way it was said made it seem like he was no longer in remission

I’ve always wondered if maybe that’s why he’s got the schedule he has because performing everyweek would really take it out of him and cause a relapse of lukemia which i would pray it wouldn’t but I’ve always had it in the back of my mind. Love Roman he’s gotten so much better on the mic just miss seeing him more often

Stop wondering. It was always written on the wall. It's not because he is lazy that is for sure.
