Oh my god this is amazing. I can't even express how much I love it! It's so Gorillaz, it looks almost official!! The improvements from the draft are incredible! I think you captured very well the song's athmosphere and 2-D singing. The only thing is the movements of 2-D and Murdoc are still a little "puppety" but it's not really that noticeable! Overall it's a great video, congratulations, you've got talent! P.s.: 2-D's wink at the end made me smile, nice touch! :)

I didnt remove the cigarette? But someone pointed out a spot where the plastic beach island floated into frame and disappeared and it was pretty noticable, a whole 35 frames of it sliding into frame and then vanishing. I cant be having any of that in my art portfolio. This channel is mainly for quick links to send for future employment.

i know this came out 7 (SEVEN NOW ????????????? TIME FLIES) years ago but i've always loved this so much. i still watch it from time to time and recently came back to it remembering how good it was again. 2d's puppet looks so amazing here and ive always adored how seamless he ties in with the official noodle/russ visuals, also murdoc in the background !!!!!!! the intro with him smoking is so iconic, the cigarette sadly drifting away. the way he loses the melodica just for noodle to pick it back up to play??? that's such a ridiculously cool way to connect the two. it's obvious a lot of care went into this and im eating it up, my absolute favorite part is when he reacts to the airplane along with noodle, the bottles in the boat moving with him, it really feels like they're both part of the environment. the lip syncing has always been perfect to me as well, its so good!!! this is still THE video for "Broken" to me. the official video to ME! great work, so inspiring, i love this video so much!!!!!!!

Valleri Tomas I also love the Plastic Beach era; it was the era in which I got better acquainted with their music and style. It was also the era where I felt they really perfected that style; the world felt really detailed and there were so many things going on at once. Too bad the era never got fully realized, what with the things that didn't get finished (Rhinestone Eyes music video) or just didn't seem to go anywhere (that 'Evangelist' contest, for example). Sadly, it was also the last era that felt genuine, fun and experimental. Phase 4 has thus far felt very hollow and stale; almost none of the music fits the style, and the style felt much more streamlined. It's just a run-of-the-mill band at this point.

Brandon Evans I know you reupload this video and be honest everything still say the same for what I said for your deleted video! I really loved everything that you've done and I'm actually really proud of you for editing it and asking for critique because I know it can be difficult and hard to take critique! Since you asked for a critique I'll just give you a few minor things I found, at 2:28 2D's head spazzed out, like it just turned randomly and at 1:38 the audio got louder for no reason. That's all ready it, besides that this really is perfect, and relooking at the wind and the hair and clothes movement, I say it's actually fine the way it is! It many not link up with Noodle’s hair with the wind but I like the fact that you moved 2D hair and his scarf with the beat of the song! It's a really nice thing I didn't catch before but I enjoy seeing it now and I actually don't mind it the hair. It flows very nicely with the wind and it doesn't look at static or crazy and the scarf moves well with the hair! The fact that goes with the song is actually really Jamie Hewlett's style because I looked at noodle the way that she moves her body is to the beat of the song! So like I said before in my other comment on the unedited video, your animation is very professional and it genuinely and accurately mimics genuine style of Jamie and that's is all what animation is about, how accurately you can do a style! So Bravo you really outdone yourself because this is beautiful! The link syncing is phenomenal as it lines up perfectly, and it's shocking how better you gotten in just one edit! I see how much effort you put in this and it did not go to waste! As I can see how better you have gotten, and it's really inspiring! Also I just want to add two more things, I love the way how the sun rises and sets, it makes it seem more realistic and it goes well with noodles animation as the colors change through night and day! Next is that 2D boat is from one of the official art and I love how you did that it's a smart thing to use actual visuals form prior art and that shows that you are truly a Gorillaz fan and it is great to use reference as it will make it look more like Jamie's art! I don't wanna repeat my compliments again so I will just leave it to this, I love this and I hope to see more of you're epic animations! Just don't push yourself too hard as it’s always okay to take a break beacuse people who care for you will understand! Anyway take care of your awesome self!!!:D 💗💗💗

Brandon Evans Art That's awesome! Very creative! I didn't think of that! I know this may sound like a stretch but maybe when Noodle was younger, 2D taught her how to play the melodica! Since he played it, Noodle got interested in the instrument and asked him about the melodica and they bonded over it when he was teaching her! 2D probably bought her one for her birthday and she still haves it and uses it in broken video. If my crazy idea is true, then it would even make it sadder only reason why the song haves a melodica as it symbolizes phase 1 and the distant memories they had, and how the good times where broken. It could just be a simple reason and you know how around Point Nemo the waters was full of junk. Well probably Noodle found the melodica in the water, when she in the life boat and took it with her as it reminds her not only of 2D but the band and gave here sad and distant memories of the good times they had. When you started to ask those questions on how she got the melodica, I thought too and came up with my reasoning behind it. So I know it's random but that was my ideas on how she got the melodica, I hope you like it though! Also I'm glad you like my comments, that makes me happy to know that my words mean something to the people I inspire to be!!!^^

Also, I think the audio got loud for a second for no reason because that is the spot where the final mistake was where the island came into frame for a second and then disappeared. I just cut a chunk of the same video over it to hide the island for that second, I must have forgotten to silence the audio on the chunk and it doubled the volume for a second. Oh well... its better than something visually wrong. And the part at 2:28 is supposed to be him shaking his head as he is saying nothing, he does it twice in the video, maybe the first time just looks a little smoother.
