The reason why Gorillaz fan's dont like the song is because it doesn't sound like a Gorillaz song at all; it's so unlively and lacks the hardhitting colorful vibe that other Gorillaz songs have. The vocals of Jamie sounded incomplete with many awkward pauses and the lyrics almost sounded improvised. The beat was too cheerful and upbeat for the theme and feel the song was trying to give. The only Gorillaz like aspect of the song is 2D's vocals. Gorillaz is supposed to make powerful, vibrant, and somewhat funky songs. This track fails to deliver those qualities, that is why people hate this track.

BenPskillz from Gorillaz? Demon Days, followed very closely by Humanz at the moment. Humanz may be my favourite in the future as it starts to grow on me more. After Humanz, is Plastic Beach, The Fall, then Gorillaz, D Sides, G Sides. Love them all though

(Sorry for my bad English, English isn't my first language, I hope you can still take my opinion seriously) I don't hate it I just dislike it. I'm a huuuuuuuge gorillaz fan btw. Iove every song on selftitled, g-sides, demon days, d-sides and plastic beach, but this album it's not good as good as the others. It doesn't feel like gorillaz that's not because a sound change, but because 2d is barely on it and they don't really blend genres and misplace guests all over the place something they did so right on all the other albums. And I feel like Jamie was barely involved on this project. It just feels like Damon grabed a bunch of artists he wanted to work with and made an album. It feels like the songs and the visuals are two different things and not one. It had politics wich the other albums had but they where not this obvious... I could go on for ages but I hope you get why some people don't like it.

3rd time listening to this one, and this shit grew on me! I enjoy every freaking part, so many experiments and sounds, Damon is a prodigy when it comes to Gorillaz project. If you run through the album, you might find 3 songs so catchy, that you like them right away. But when you listen, and actually listen to the "new" sound, it is just amazing. Cant wait to see them live

If the studio version had the better bass this has, plus the choir (I don't know why it doesn't have the choir - almost every other song on the album does), then it would be pretty good. It would still need to be rearranged on a more conceptual and structural level to be really good, but still. Also Zebra Katz should probably re-record his part.
