Bruh, this looks like it EXACTLY could have been a phase 1 Gorillaz music video, especially the monstrous imageries using 90s/2000s-quality CGI and magazine photo cutouts. Even the occasional head tilt with one eye widening is such a nice touch and really captured the old facial expressions. Also, the "Competition Winner" was such a great reference to Rockit.

@@Kamy41 It definitely shows! I loved that second "classical" segment when you distorted the sound wave, made Noodle faceless, and gave her a blank speech bubble. Definitely captured the energy of Rockit when 2D eventually became muted as Pazuzu takes over complete control of the vocals, repeating the titular "Rockit". Not to mention, you nailed the moving camera style of Tomorrow Come Today. You set your goals for this project, and you knocked them out of the park! I hope to see more of your high-quality work in the future!

This feels like such an official lost Gorillaz music video! I love how you incorporated more modern internet horror into it in a way that feels exactly like how horror was in phase 1. It fits right in! Everything from the grungy colours to even the hand movements oozes with style. I'm really hoping this gets a lot of attention. I can definitely appreciate the newer songs and a lot of them still are hard bops. Plus, part of Albarn's "identity" is the deconstruction of identities and genres, so him constantly experimenting in different territories is what garners a lot of his appeal and respect. With all that being said, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I would kill to hear more songs and see more music videos akin to the styles of the debut and Demon Days albums.

@@VictorSnakevenom1 yeah to me I feel like the whole deconstruction of identity and killing idols like fed into the ideas that the old Gorillaz were putting out sonically as well as visually. Now they feel like a punk band that's sold out to indie radio because it's easier and it makes money. Like even their old radio friendly songs back in the day were weird and experimental, but I guess they just don't feel the need to do that anymore? I think the music is good enough still. But I want to come back to it like I come back to those early albums.

@@idiosimian It makes sense in lore why their sounds keep changing. S/T was Russel taking the lead on production, hence the heavy dub, hip-hop & trip hop influences. Demon Days was a teenaged Noodle taking the reigns with Russel and 2D along for the ride. Plastic Beach was Murdoc's turn with Cyborg Noodle & the kidnapped 2D. The Fall was entirely 2D. While Humanz and The Now Now are more collaborated efforts, more so with the former and the latter because Murdoc was in jail lol. Song Machine leans more towards 2D IMO and Cracker Island is another collaborated effort, perhaps an influence of Noodle becoming the mom of three rambunctious bandmates.

Oyoiyoiyoiyoiyoi! I love how this captures the phase 1 art style and has very fluid animation while bringing a modern concept like analog horror to the mix. Yet despite having a modern concept, the way you implemented it makes it feel like what would analog horror look like back then, thus making the video feel timeless. This was so well edited too, like the audio was very in sync with the music. Also, really love how Russel helped out the boys in the end by punching that backrooms creature.

5 Thing why I absolutely love this animation 1st - animation This is truly the best fan animation EVER. Its not just a roughly moving sprites, it is a real animation, noodles head turn, how Russell carrying this 2 bastards (well it is a sprites, but the animation is not rough except for other animations) This animation have so much effort, this moving, style, even HAIR and ARMS are animated, it's not just "put character here" moving his lips and head. 2nd - style I absolutely love how characters look. They look like a real characters. Don't be mad at me, but I absolutely HATE how looks gorillaz characters at animations (and 2nd phase too of original), but this - perfect 3nd - visual effects I have no words... 0:59 one of my favorite moment of this animation. Background, effects are amazing, especially this curse meter, and how before that moment the whole scene looks, like noodle in clint eastwood, in front of del 4nd - 3d graphic You can literally see how characters interacting with 3d (Pushing the hand off the walls) Looks very nice 5nd - horror elements This llama looks really horrifying, like the visuals, like the distorted faces, and how the whole scene is disfigured, Music also adds to the uncomfort Truly the BEST fan animation of the gorillaz
