This song sounds like it's trying to be optimistic and cheeky, and yet it still feels somewhat artificial at that. but then that haunting descending melody hits and its happy go lucky facade just slowly fades and everything makes sense The instrumentals feel stale and don't really change that much, no buildup or anything, it just goes on. It's a noticeable cycle. All the while the lyrics express the depressing emotions of feeling trapped, confused and remorseful that the singers can't shake off. I love this song ugghhhh
