@@aegypt-tan “I’m writing and recording a song about an incident when I was in Thailand and met the crown princess. This was November ’97. She was only 14 at the time, and she came to see us, and due to the very specific role the royal family play in Thailand, they put a throne next to the mixing board for her to sit in, surrounded by I don’t know how many soldiers. “Song 2” started and she stood on her throne and stage-dived into the crowd. The reason I’ve written a song about it is because I had a dream about this princess very recently; she’d grown up and we spent time in my dream together, her as a woman. So there you go: 1997 was a long time, but at the moment it’s not.” - Damon Albarn

I love how the lyrics say "You've grown up" showing 2D, Murdoc and Russell and when he says the last "Baby queen" Noodle comes out. It's literally like they were saying it.

I'm writing this more as a rant, and I don't want to make myself look poor or vulnerable. But like that, Gorillaz literally changed my life, I suffered from depression and I still suffer from anxiety and Gorillaz was like a breath of air for me. Every time I was locked up and alone in my room, I was sad for some reason, I would put on Dare or Plastic Beach to play on an old music player, because I didn't even want to have a cell phone due to the medication and feeling unwell. And when I listened to his simple but incredible songs, I felt good, in an inexplicable way. Today I still suffer from severe anxiety, but Gorillaz helps me with some crises from time to time with their upbeat or calming music. What I meant by all of this is that something considered small or normal can positively improve someone's life. I live in Brazil, and I'm very proud of everything Gorillaz has become to date, as it's particularly my favorite band, and I'll always remember everything it did in my life. Anyway, I will be eternally grateful for this, and perhaps the creator of Gorillaz doesn't even know the good his art does for people. :3

Había un juego llamado virtual droid en el cual se conoce gente y había un mapa que se llama danza, allí parecía un burdel con una pantalla grande en la cual podías colocar cualquier vídeo de KZbin, cada día iba hacia allá buscando gente que le guste por lo menos alguna canción de Gorillaz cuando de pronto llegue un día y había una chica colocando su canción favorita Baby Queen y como la mayoría que estaba ahí eran niños y se lo quitaban vine yo y puse Feel Good Inc, luego aquella chica noto que también escucho Gorillaz, para cuando me comentó ir a un mapa privado y disfrutar un poco de las canciones de Gorillaz, cada día que me la encontraba íbamos a escuchar aquellas canciones y comentaba que su favorito era Baby Queen, llegó un momento que se dejó de conectar y ya no aparecía y mostraba señales de seguir jugando, desde ese entonces para recordarla hice que la canción Baby Queen fuera mi favorita.

I was 16 years old back then in 2001 when fall in love with this band. Way before gorillaz first album, in 1998 I got my PlayStation and there was this intro soundtrack on FIFA game by British band BLUR- song2 that I couldn’t stop listening, the singer was Damon Albarn and because I knew that he was main member of gorillaz I decided to listen to their music. Now I’m 38 years old about to become 39 😅 married to a wonderful woman, father of 3 wonderful kids, basically I grew up lessening to gorillaz and is cool to see my kids lessening gorillaz songs also being part of their life and having a good taste of music. Just hope there is more people out there sharing good music with their kids
