I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to undergo training at 14 GTC. I truly believe I am one of the luckiest individuals, and I feel proud to be a part of the Gorkha family. 😀😀you can call yourself gorkha if in india if you are in army of gorkha regiment otherwise gorkha is not a caste/race or not just only present nepali langauge(khas kura) speaking people although in gorkha army regiment the nepali language(khas kura) is used ,but you can call them present nepali language speaking indians in india ,there are over 100+languages spoken and many ethnicity people in nepal ,so remember all nepali army(nickname gorkhali/gorkha army) and all gorkha are nepali .in present time if as a normal people you use jai gorkha then you should also use jai nepal because there was gorkha rajya which was originated from present nepal and then after unifying and winning many kingdoms it change its name in nepal in 1768 AD but britishers and we nepali also unofficially called our nepali army gorkha army and still call our nepali army is gorkhali/gorkha army because from the kingdom named gorkha our unification was started and now gorkha is district of nepal and there is nothing called gorkhali language in world ;the world recognise nepali language,just remember even though british create further kumaon and garhwal regiment to divide we pahadi people but still kumaoni and garhwali people join gorkha regiment because historically they were part of nepali(gorkhali) army and our nepal's past main leaders in nepali/gorkhali army who have khas arya DNA ,our DNA race is same as of present uttrakhand and himachal people,famous name which you call previous gorkha/nepali army leaders who fought against britishers were Amar singh thapa,Balbhadra kunwar, Bhakti thapa,Rana Jung Pandey,swarup singh karki kalu pandey ,our main leaders' race is same of uttrakhand and himachal's native peoples race. in world war 1 and world war 2 period mainly janjati community of nepal were sent in war and still now days janjatis mostly go in army so that some people thinked that only janjatis community of nepal are only called gorkha but that mentality is wrong and all nepali are gorkha and all gorkha are nepali.upto 2032 AD if there will be no recruitment from nepal then india will have to dismiss the regiment named "gorkha regiment" but you people should also not forget our nepali people great legacy in every important indian wars

At 2.06 the picture shows in this video is of king Prithivi Narayan Sah instead of Amar singh Thapa. Please correct, Apart from that, It's so good to see surroundings of 14 GTC. As my grandfather, father's brother and father were from the same battalion 2/1 GR, I have chance to visit Subathu. It's been decade however this video recall me the time when we were in Subathu.

Dear Concerned, I do appreciate your efforts in showcasing the Gurkhas and their significant impact. However, it is concerning that Gurkha recruitment in the Indian Army has significantly reduced post the Agniveer scheme. Could you please share if there are any plans to address this challenge? Not sure this will attract Gurkhas for recruitment! Additionally, please do included interviews of gurkhas (Jawans) too, i guess these people make Gorkha Rifles too.

you can call yourself gorkha if in india if you are in army otherwise gorkha is not a caste/race or just only present nepali langauge speaking people,in present time if as a normal people you use jai gorkha then you should also use jai nepal because gorkha rajya is originated from nepal and now district of nepal and there is nothing called gorkhali language in world ;the world recognise nepali language,if upto 2032 AD if there will be no recruitment from nepal then india will have to dismiss gorkha regiment but you people should also not forget our nepali people great legacy in every important indian wars,

The photo shown in the video at 2:08 is of King Prithvi Narayan Shah who led the Unification of Nepal and since his kingdom was called Gorkha( now one of 77 district of Nepal) the soldier were called Gorkha soldier eventually having that legacy name carry forward till date❤.

My grandfather was from 3/11GR, My father was also from 3/11GR,,,,,,,,, As a result I had a huge urge to join the Indian army and continue my family's legacy..... but due to your agnipath scheme, I'm not able to attend the Bharti Rally from Nepal... 60% of the recruits in the GORKHA REGIMENT'S come from Nepal and rest are from the indian side and are mainly from northern region of India. If this thing continues GR's will lose their originality. Though you can put a punjabi or madrashi or bihari into GR they can only be compared to Gorkha's can't be an actual gurkha. A fox with lion skin outside, can't be a lion from inside. So please, government from the both side... please cooperate and resume the recruitment of youth into the Indian army or else GR's would lose it's originality.
