Yes, its so sad that people of Darjeeling utterly ignored the existence of Bhutia-lepcha and Adivasis of Darjeeling who are not gorkhas. Not only this "gorkhaland" name excludes us Bhutia-lepcha and adivasis but it does great unjustice to this land "matoo" itself which time again resisted the gorkha invasion of Nepal and kicked out the 35 years of gorkha occupation of Nepal ( 1776-1816).

I am more impressed with Rahul Bhai after listening to him in this podcast. I so agree with him about our short sightedness embedded starting from home/society. From 1986 onwards marks the start of Darjeeling’s downfall and today we have come to our lowest point and by next decade I'm sure we will reach the dead bottom if it continues to go this way. It's high time we realise this and protect our soil and language. Let's protect our hills, saying we love our hills won't change anything unless action is done. People like Rahul da stands as a source of inspiration for us pahadey janta 🙏🏼❤
