Only noticed that among the phantom thieves in Royal, Ren and Akechi were the only ones whom never discuss among each other on how their showtime will be carried out. It just used straight in a desperate battle upon learning the mastermind behind the distorted reality. Its like they already had in mind how it should be carried out. Atlus kind of improved the narrative, using the unused material, anime and ova for Akechi's growth in Royal, quite fair not shown in original due to time constraints for 20th anniversary. His growth is akin to Aigis, as both are popular characters in the jp community but character not presented much in vanilla version without proper social links. The enhanced versions made both loved even more, seen their roles in the new story were way too similar despite the presentation due to different setting/generation. Akechi is more of a psychotic tsundere in the new story just by actions and voice lines alone, which is rare to see tsundere males in most anime series and games. Its like he hates everything and everyone except Ren and Kasumi. Only hope is that in future canon timeline games, Ren will be able to finally see this very miracle forged through bonds and heartfelt promises. It holds the same weight as Aigis, being the closest to Makoto Yuki and only member whom remembered all of the battles but withold the info until the promised day. Its also implied in Scramble through dialogue of last Jail, Ren, Mona and possibly Akechi still clearly remembered Maruki's altered reality while it faded from memory for the others. By the arcana pattern of new characters, perhaps another girl, bless type with Charity as her arcana, being the last viture from the visconti safroza tarot. Plus possibly another boy, cuse type and arcana from either thoth or El Gran Tarot Esoterico tarot. I meant in next canon timeline spin off game for the p5 gen.

@@Moda-pf8wt Possible next game Ren fell into despair upon being trapped alone by the new enemy, possibly a cognition researcher or Persona user with a Demiurge related figure but under a different belief. It was when Akechi returns as the true Wild Card with a different metaverse form, Hereward changes to the Fool and much more stronger than before. However, he still retains his tsundere and tough love side towards Ren. Its better that Ren receives the treatment of having full sentence dialogues and own personality like Yu and Makoto, as seen with Q, Q2, Arena and Dancing all night. Also the past generation do not take any chances for the next shadow spike due to past experiences, bet that Akechi will meet Zenkichi and Sophia for the first time as they were the catalyst of Ren's new battle in Scramble in his absence. I can imagine him grateful towards Zenkichi in protecting Ren in his place, but likely faint upon learning that he's a Persona user and just as bad as him in battle.
