For me this song is like Leonard Cohen Hallelujah (with endless verses) , but in fight mode. "There's no one to beat you, defeat you, mistreat you You are the one with the power to free you" - that's my line. Trapped in someone else's delusional cycle and barely breathing , you cannot imagine what kind of kick was that line. Thank you! About " the power and the wealth" . So you can laugh all day, but I was raised with the idea that "power and will" are basically the same thing , so the words that I've heard (in different parts and versions ) are: - wealth, well and wheel.

This is by far my favourite song of yours, such insightful and empowering lyrics throughout. The whole piece spoke to my soul deeply on many levels, especially the lyrics "There's no one to beat you, defeat you, mistreat you, YOU are the one with the power to free you". I freakin' love this song, man... And Gorran just chillin' live w/his guitar is always gold! Certain musicians just have that gift... This is such a fantastic track that reminds me of the songs of Woody Guthrie or early Bob Dylan. You are so right we individually are the ones with the ‘power and the wealth’. The power is ‘universal understanding’ and the wealth is the ‘freedom that knowledge brings’. Absolutely awesome man!! Of course as alot of us here we know you from The Big Push who we found from Ren. I know he isn't perfect, as are any of us, but he seems to have been a blessing to bands he was in or people he collaborated, in that he has puts so many more eyes on them.
