I didn't clarify the reason the spacing between the two handles is closer is b/c of the length of the handles running perpendicular to them--they prob have to be close to be between those three handles running the length of the sandbag.... if that explanation even makes sense.

Is that the 80lb 2.0? Is it awkward being so long?

Yes, it's the 80 lb 2.0. It's never awkward being long.... Seriously though, it's not bad. I still use it all the time, along with the 50 lb simple. It's 34" long, which is only 1" shorter then the 100 lb 2.0.
