Goshawk and Dog Teamwork

Kai and Malia worked together on this one. The rabbit scraped Kai off on the bush during the initial grab, then made a run for it. Malia came in and cut it off, giving Kai more time to catch up and grab it again

Great vid ! Love seeing the moment the jack looks at the dog in the eyes and hangs a right. Always wondered what the jack did in those moments but never seen one turn back face to face. Amazing flight / angle of view

Wow CCL, I watched your *year-end video* again yesterday, the one that had your Cooper's Hawk and Kai in it. That video was just *extremely incredible,* I must reiterate again. Anyway, I was thinking *whatever happened to Kai* and this video showed me. 😎🎥👍

Thank you! That season was one of the best seasons I’ve ever had. That coops has been released back to the wild and Kai is now going into his 8th season. He contracted asper at the end of that season though, so he no longer has the lung capacity that he used to have and gets out of breath faster, but he’s still around kicking butt at rabbits. He just can’t do long tail chases as well as he used to
