Goshawk screeming

Always a pleasure when a Goshawk appears in front of one of my photography hides. And then they start calling to each other...a thrilling experience!

Eastern Ontario, Canada. There's a mating pair of these nesting in the Sugar Maple bush behind the house. I've watched them take away fledgling mourning doves, baby Cottontail rabbits, and attack a Boat tail Grackles' nest.

I moved away from home, returned. I walked into town, peruse the isles and such. I didn’t hear them walking into town. On the way back, this beautiful, sound, was, emphatic! I was like, thats a hawks, cry! Lots of seagulls in the area and pigeons. SW 🇬🇧 Up in a building, ledge. Two of them! Thank you for this video. I can finally put a face to the Calls. Goshawks ❤

I don't claim to be an expert, but two birds calling like this from the ledge of a building are more likely to be peregrines (becoming much more common in cities in the UK). Goshawks are much more likel;y to be in woodland.

I get Pileated Woodpecker and Northern Flickers calls mixed up with the Goshawk, they sound similar at a distance, sometimes it's hard to tell.
