Educational video for kids that talks about gospel music. Musical genres are the different types or styles of music and each of them has different characteristics. Gospel music is a type of religious music, created by the enslaved people in North America between the 17th and 19th centuries. Typical instruments include tambourines, pianos, organs, guitars, other stringed instruments and some wind instruments. In gospel music, we hear groups of singers called choirs and call-and-response structures. This means that the lead singer sings something and the choir answers back.
This video is a very useful and interesting resource for children. It is perfect for explaining to children what musical genres are and introducing them to gospel music. It is an excellent video for primary education.
