Beautiful song (even if I can't under stand a word of it, LOL) Thanks for posting this. I've never had a chance to hear the language, very beautiful and musical from what I'm hearing. (I'm thinking spelling class would pretty challenging though)

+StacyAnneH AMEN! been listening to these songs all morning. I am sure that those classes would be a nightmare unless You were raised from a youngster in the language, as most of us were in english, I have been told by several people that I know who for them english is a second or ever third language, that english is one of the hardest to learn. GOD BLESS ALL . kevlutu

+kevlutu I have heard that before. It is a shame that Americans don't seem to put much effort into second languages. I've heard the Amish typically are try lingual. Typically they learn Penn Dutch at home, then English, and they're Bibled are typically High German.

Yes , that is true. I live in a part of Minnesota, that is relatively close to several Amish Comunities. They have several kinds of commercial enterprises that They use to support Themselves' mostly furniture mfg. but there are other types of business as well.. GOD BLESS. kevlutu

+kevlutu We have a small Amish community here. They do a lot of bake sales & now have a discount grocery store. Mostly stuff from other stores that is close to its expiration date. Have to know what you're doing but most of it is good way beyond. Good prices. Downstate there are several furniture stores. I'm told that the quality is outstanding. Supossed Jayco RVs are built by Amish craftsmen.

Stacy, several of the groups are on the outskirts of large cities here and many of Them are farming area's They supply a large amount of "organic" produce and other farm and dairy products to City Folk's. The quality of thier products, agricultural or crafted item's are of a unusually high grade as They take great pride in what They do as a way of honoring GOD. I don't have any idea about the RV's but if They do, it would be a point in thier favor. as alway's GOD BLESS. kevlutu

Is there an English version someplace. Would love to know what it's saying. All I can find is God be with you till we meet again. Or if someone would translate it for me?
@effchar44339 жыл бұрын
+StacyAnneH, If your familiar with the Old Cree Hymn books that are brown and have that black swirl on it to keep the pages together. Its in there, I can't remember the page number. You will find it in the index titled "God be with you".

I must confess, I'm not really familiar with the Cree Nation at all except a little via the CBC Television show Heartland. I stumbled on this song as I was exploring KZbin and was taken by the beauty of it. Would appear the language lends itself very well to music.
