Imagine having all of Jamal's sounds and samples stored in your keyboard to use for live church service or a gig. Jamal's Flash is the best of all of the classic gospel and urban sounds. He is using his Moxf as a Sound Card on his PC. So the sounds are all digital hence the volume slider having no effect. You control volume from your PC if you use that option.

Fantastic job on the flash board. You really crammed a lot in this board. Only one very tiny gripe. Sometimes when you play the sounds to let people here them, you are playing so fast they can't really hear the tonality In the sound. You have got some great layered combinations and patches. I looked at all 3 videos and I know you're excited---but try taking your time and letting the sounds breath. Great Job again on the boards content!!

I need the flash with the sounds already loaded to them. Only reason why I haven't purchased yet. I do not want to download the sounds from my comp to the flash ect. I do not know how todo or maybe they should do a tutorial vid on how to it will help the sales I promise. Reason why I just buy the sweetwater flash its comes programmed and have tutorial vides to walk you through the process. Something that I think these brothers should do. Probably would help increase the sales of the sounds

The problem with pre-loading them is that the way the Motif/MOXF is setup, is that you still have to load and register the flash with the keyboard. So basically it's the same steps. You can't just take a pre-loaded soundset and it just works. Yamaha didn't make it that easy. Wayno Soze, thank you for posting your comment and thank you to Gospel musicians for responding so clearly. I have the MOXF8 and like many keyboard players I am very interested in making music but have absolutely no interest in the technical / engineering side of things. This is why just like you, the only reason I had not purchased Jamal's flash despite wanting it since it first came out years ago, was because it did not come preloaded and I could not find any instructions or videos at Gospelmusicians.com on how to load it or what to expect after purchasing it. Having just clicked on the link provided by Gospel Musicians in response to your comment Wayno Soze, I can see that they do have clear instructions on what to do and so I will now proceed to buy Jamal's flash. You are absolutely right that it would really help sales (I would have bought it two years ago!) if they could find a way to preload these sounds or if not, then at least simply put a clear link to these instructions on the "Jamal's Flash Sounds for Yamaha Motif XS*/XF/MOXF" page of their website so that people can simply make the decision to buy without worrying about the risk of buying $199 worth of sounds that they may not subsequently be able to load to their flash/ keyboard due to their lack of technical engineering / IT knowledge, irrespective of how great their music theory knowlegde / keyboard playng skills may be. This is especially important since there is a "no refund policy" posted very clearly on the site yet no clear information on how customers will be supported by Gospel Musicians if they need help with their installation and no clear link to these instructions and videos on the Jamal's Flash product page. Thank you to both Wayno and Gospel Musicians. This comment from Wayno and the response from Gospel Musicians has been a very important factor in my decision to finally buy Jamal's Flash at this time and I hope it enables others who were also unsure, to finally purchase this great product from Jamal secure in the knowledge that there are clear and more importantly very simple instructions on how to download and install the flash to their keyboard.

@@fendonc Exactly brother! I just do not understand why not make it easier for the customer? Simply just sale the USB stick for the price of the download and its that simple!! Just Load the flash drive usb stick and boom, just plug in back of XF load onto the flash?Instead if there is a problem you will not be able to fully tell if its you, or them, that actually caused the error? I just dont get why not it really doesnt cost them more by doing so? The policy is non refundable almost scam like. Sweetwater sold usb stick very simple and easy.. literally plug and play. This you have to down load and then load to the stick. Easy for them to say (you caused a error) in the down loading process. I need to see more people with positive reviews on this. I cant go on the “trust us” system. Business is business 🤷🏾‍♂️

This should answer your question: Yamaha MOXF Unboxing and Initial Comments. It all depends on what is important to you. If loading samples and new waveforms are important to you, then yes it is.

Ok I got the 1 GB card installed and formatted. I followed the steps to load into the flash. Was getting a ‘Sample Memory Full” message. Tried again today. Appeared to have loaded this time, but when I start at USER 1 -A-1, I can see the name of the patch, but get nothing for sound. Don’t get a sound until USER 1 - A -10, A Piano and Strings. Then A-14 thru 16. When I downloaded file, I opened the XF folder and dragged the jFlash XF.X3A file to the USB stick, then attempted to load onto the 1Gb Flash. But a lot of empty patch spaces. Also when I go to UTILITY/FLASH and FL2 ( that is the 1Gb Flash, the free size is still 1022M. Like no waves are being loaded onto it. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

I dont understand why they didnt just load the sounds to their own flash and just sell the flash like sweet water did? Isnt like it cost money to put it own the flash? The flash stick usb is only like 1 for like 20 of them you can buy balk flash.. too many things for no help or refund.. Wayno Soze that would be a NICE option for some I suppose. But for most I think they would want that immediate download option. I think figured somethings out the more I picked at it. I had to step away from things for awhile for other reasons. I intend to get back in the trenches with understanding the best way to employ both the 1 GB and the 512 MB using The Jamal Flash sounds on the 1GB and some other sounds on the 512 MB flash. My main challenge was how to things loaded separately onto those two flash cards. Thanks for commenting.

Greetings, firstly let me tell you how much I have been helped by your videos, you really know your stuff. I own the Yamaha Motif XF8 and I simply love it. The sounds are beyond belief. I understand the Performance Mode, the Pattern Mode and the Song Mode however, the Voice mode application still eludes my understanding. Would you be so kind as to tell me how to transfer an Arpeggio (Such as a Drum Voice Arpeggio) to the Song and Pattern Modes so I can use them in a composition? No one in my area stores have any Idea how to get it done. If there is anyone who knows, I have no doubt that you do. Thank you in advance for your help, It will be greatly appreciated. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing some great things for people who have limited understand about this keyboard and those of us who have limited resources to your kind of knowledge. P.S. God Bless Jamal I own an XF8 Im interested in your product but Im not to savy on installing flashboards and the new MOXF8 comes pre-installed with these awesome sounds, you do state in your video that XF has a slight better sound quality. Being a first time yamaha user,,,yes ive been using a KORG TRITON extreme all these years still own it. In order for it all to work, you do need both the sounds and the 1GB Flash. We are all out of 1GB Flash, so you are free to get them elsewhere.
