The one who is forgiven much loves much. I read last night about understanding forgiveness and the article said "any capacity I possess to forgive others must be grounded in a clear understanding of the debt I first owe." I have not experienced love in my life that I know of in my heart that satisfies so I must not understand how forgiven I am? I only have known condemnation, rejection, and guilt. God is love and He lives in me through Christ, why do I not hear him convincing me I am loved, forgiven, righteous and accepted in the beloved. The loudest and repetitive voices are all lying. The truth about Jesus is what's true about me. Jesus is not harassed by these screaming voices and neither should I be!

+Joshua Schiffermiller forgiveness has nothing to do with us being forgiven from a debt we owed to God. Mankind was indebted to sin not God. Forgiveness means for God to send sin & its effects away from us. It means to divorce us from sin & death. If you always feel guilt & condemnation it has nothing to do with you not knowing how much of a debt you owed. It would be the result of you not knowing what it means that God has divorced you from sin.
