I am extremely happy to see Jay on your show, Austin. I have known Jay personally for quite some time and have always found him personable, gracious, and cordial. I also know Jay is highly passionate in his defense of the Faith and many people appreciate that - some can't take it. I do not take sides easily, for example I consider a certain carrot topped "apologist" who is technically on our side as beyond mentally ill while I have friendly exchanges with Catholic and Protestant apologists who have reached out but continually harping on a single event in Jay's debate history after he publically apologized is, quite simply, being the Prodigal Son's older brother. If the Reason and Theology crew are so concerned about you hosting Jay, I would assume it has to do with their pathetically low view counts due to their addiction to drama and largely underwhelming content. Who wants to tune in each night to hear yet another slow, bitter, and repetitive rant from Michael about his brief time in the Orthodox Church? Do you?

Austin, once I asked you to interview Fr. Spyridon Bailey. If you do this, please, would you consider to escape a little from this format to speak about the subject of his book "Orthodoxy and the Kingdom of Satan"? I think everybody will gain from it, really. Greetings from Brazil, greetings in Christ. Thank you! P.S. You/we have much to learn with Jay. He is a great guy.

That’s a decent book, for sure. It’s a good entry level into the world of the diabolical. I like that he sort of picked up where Fr. Seraphim left off.

Saint Cyril of Alexandria explicitly rejected an essence-energies distinction: For if one is not too poorly endowed with the decency which befits wise men, one will say that the divine being is properly and primarily simple and incomposite; one will not, dear friend, venture to think that it is composed out of nature and energy, as though, in the case of the divine, these are naturally other; one will believe that it exists as entirely one thing with all that it substantially possesses.
