I’m listening to this in 2024. I remember when I first started to dabble in witchcraft and working with the Fae at the early age of 11 or 12 and this song was my go to song whenever I’d go out on full moon nights to leave offerings to the Fae. This song brings back so much good magickal memories 💗🌸💞💫

I'm here for the same reason. As a child I was obsessed with learning everything I could about the fae folk, a fascination that was encouraged by my grandmother who believes in magical things. I'm reading Emily Wildes Encyclopedia of Faeries right now and had the urge to revisit this song, one I listened to a million times as a child. I was enchanted by the lyrics and melody and couldn't stop replaying it over and over. Today I feel like I'm reliving my childhood years of wonder and magic 💚 this time I'll try not to let it go away for so long

Dance of the wild Faëries I wandered alone to the forest one night Led by a music strange to hear And followed the glow of a shimmering light That seemed to grow distant as I grew near The woods were alive with the fragrance of spring But winter was everywhere clear to see The moon shone bright and a bat on the wing Beckoned me closer and said to me: "A clearing close in the forest you'll find A fabulous banquet, a fairy ball If you close your eyes and you open your mind The veil disappears and you'll see it all" Come and play as the wild fairies play In a magical circle, a fairy ring You won't want to leave and forever you'll stay Where the vision is bright as spring Come and dance the wild fairy dance Spin in a circle as fast as light Once you begin you are caught in a trance And the world can grow old in a single night When I closed my eyes to the shimmering light All memory faded and I could see That a mushroom circle of red and white And myriad fairies surrounded me Beyond all space and beyond all time On gossamer wings did the fairies fly With a joy unknown to a music sublime The fairies danced, and there danced I Come and play as the wild fairies play In a magical circle, a fairy ring You won't want to leave and forever you'll stay Where the vision is bright as spring Come and dance the wild fairy dance Spin in a circle as fast as light Once you begin you are caught in a trance And the world can grow old in a single night "Those who seek us surely find us See the trail we leave behind us Some bewildered, some enlightened Some are brave, some are frightened Are we kind or are we vicious? Nectar poison or delicious? That, my sweet, you will discover Fairy foe, or fairy lover" Come and play as the wild fairies play In a magical circle, a fairy ring You won't want to leave and forever you'll stay Where the vision is bright as spring Come and dance the wild fairy dance Spin in a circle as fast as light Once you begin you are caught in a trance And the world can grow old in a single night I wandered alone to the forest one night Led by a music strange and clear If you happen to pass when the moon is bright And the veils are thin you will find me here If the veils are thin you will find me here

Humans didn't want the fairies around them, so they made them leave. And they closed their heart and everything connected to the real magic and imagination and dreams sadly. If you want a real description of what Faeries are go check Alura Cein videos.

blonde on blonde there are different kind of fae. Does in my folklore is dark. They eat children and to kidnap them, they play music and make them dance to death. This is actually two songs, "Dance of the Wild Faeries" and :"Invocation". I think "Invocation" is the more powerful song. They are both by Gary Stadler and Wendy Rule. When I moved to this trailer in SW Virginia along side the Appalachians I felt a heaviness in the trailer. I was later told that the trailer had been the scene of a drug bust. I think more had been going on here. One early spring day I went outside and played this video with the intent of communing with the faeries. I didn't ask for anything, I just wanted to be with them. After that I went back inside I didn't notice at first but after a bit I did notice that the heaviness was gone. Eventfully the faeries were there and decided to help me. The heaviness has never returned.

The english language is not a "completed" one, that's why there is a huge lack of neutrality. If you take a look at the old German (or other) language, you would be satisfied. Woman- or mankind would be like "Menschheit", and that's the race we all are...

The older I get the most laughable ( and yet tinged with sadness for the disappearance of the original concepts) I find humans perceptions of faery tinged with sadness too - either slandered or reduced to some kind of tinkerbell 'disneyfied' fae, faery stories/songs are now seen as 'entertainment for children' - that's because you have made them such. Originally - there was connection and message within both music and stories but fae can only do so much against the stories humans tell themselves There is help from Nature if you would connect with it but it has to met halfway: Under moonlight's mystic veil (night) Find the dream on which we sail (the dream of Life) Stillness calls you far away (meditation) Where the nature spirits play (listen to your instincts true nature rather than 'conditioning' 'Find the place where you belong' ( come home) In the forest of delights (natural delights - happy when enlightened) Light and Darkness both shine bright (duality is surpassed when accepted as necessary to one another in evolution and oneness recognised) Spirit of Fire Spirit Air Water and Earth Calling on the four corners of the world/earth and elements

Oh how that made me smile, and my heart overflow with love, and happiness! You are the first person I've ever heard say the words I know to be true also. And have my entire life just wanted to go home, but all of the many years of humans depicting all of the magikil realms to be evil, and full of dark creatures has hurt it very much so. We here on this side of the veil need to heal, and correct the horrible mistakes made by religious tyrants who knew they could turn everyone on the realm with fear of something they didn't understand. And here we are.. and it's still going strong in so many ways, and religious practices. Humanity is moving forward to the light, it's going to be a joyous day when we can all live in peace, and dance and have all joined to merry meet again!! I am a Faye, and sadness over this separation has caused me a lot of pain. When I realized at an early age my attraction to that realm was way more than intrigue, or little girl whimsy. I feel the energy, as I do here. I have been homesick. I would love to be able to visit with you, if you'd be interested.. please let me know! 😃 Thanks, Kristen Copeland

When I was a kid I would listen to this and print out colored fairy flags to hang because I thought they were real and I got into trouble for using expensive printer ink when I couldn’t even get new shoes that year 😭😂

See the danger in the beauty, hear the warning in the melody, heed it or ye will surely be as lost as ye may find ye self.

@@arleenfackina9675 I have no recollection of having left this comment but absolutely, one shouldn't be anywhere without their cat close at hand.
