Blair is one of the most privileged people in the Upper East Side. she always had the potential and charm that Serena had. except she was also the most insecure character in literally the entire show. she was a social-climbing (dating Marcus and Louis for their title), power-hungry (bullying teenagers and TEACHERS to show them who’s queen), jealous (of Serena) brat (treating Dorota badly and whining all the time about her rich girl problems). if Blair had the confidence that Serena had (which is literally narcissism), Blair could’ve been on top with the snap of her fingers. but she chose not to believe in herself and always relied on playing dirty and unfair in order to win. Serena knows what she can and can’t do, she knows she has her way around things. and literally all the main characters kept telling Blair that she could do the same thing and for a while, Blair did try. she stopped scheming for a while but she went back to the same bitch in the earlier seasons. Blair and Serena are bad characters but in very different ways. stop making Blair look like some feminist heroine. just because she’s funny and we get to see her sad moments doesn’t mean she’s any less of a horrible character all in all. im so tired of seeing all these Blair worshippers who hate on Serena for the same shit they adore Blair for

Countrycowboy08 Yes. I think the last episode of the series established that he was the most manipulative one of all (as opposed to Blair or Georgina). When you want to stay anonymous especially when you’re around the very people you gossip about, you wouldn’t want your identity inadvertently revealed. Hence the pretense. I just watched the series a couple of months back and since the first episode I knew it had to be one of the Humphrey kids. Then when the narrator mentioned “Lonely Boy” on the first episode, I knew then it was Dan Humphrey so I was really happy my hunch was right and the writers through Dan used that very scene to prove Dan was Gossip Girl. Contrary to what most people think or even what the writers kept saying, it was Dan from the very beginning. He wasn’t the last option which made total sense. The story began with Serena (Lonely Boy was “in love”/obsessed with her), Gossip Girl knew things that only people within the inner circle would know at times. It couldn’t be people Serena grew up with because they were just as privileged as she is sans the popularity. It had to be someone who had a glimpse of the inside but wasn’t exactly or literally part of that elite group but had the obsession for Serena that others didn’t. Again, Dan fit all these things. And when you want to stay unknown, one of the things you do is hide your gender or be the opposite of who you are. Dan is a writer which meant he knew how to sound like those Constance girls. I don’t know but I figured all that out since Episode 1 and I was right. Lol.

Blair showed too much emotion too soon, hated the writers more than the character, more into dissecting skepticism over C and B as a true love. So that said, I wish Blair picked someone to model her very ambitious but very vague dreams off. I think Audrey was her escape, the girl who didn't have the T and A or the blonde glory that other women covet to attract men. I wish she chose Nanette Lapore. I've come to the conclusion that Serena was truly Blair's ego krypton all along..which is why she initiated that relationship with pushover Nate instead of doing a self indulgent heartbreak over the unrequited interest. I think she's not such a hardcore dominant personality, just a type A bipolar.
