I'm now immersed in reading "Henry ‘Chips’ Channon: The Diaries (Volume 3): 1943-57" and it makes for engrossing reading. I've already read the previous 2 volumes and found them interesting, though I don't care at all for 'Chips' Channon the person. One thing I can say about Channon, though, and that is he is not blind to some of his shortcomings or failings.

The Dutch prostitute story? I can't say I think it terrible. Not appealing to me, but not a lot is appealing, to me. I'd rather have a second serve of pudding. Edit. Just thought, it might be another incident, much worse! The story I know was spanking older women prostitutes.

Gotta say. Simon refers to the ‘son in laws’ of Lord Iveagh. I did NOT expect that!

Two toffs discussing a dead toff. Entertaining but totally irrelevant.
