Spike is the BEST example of a redemption arc where the character doesn't completely lose their personality in the process.
@kaylaclark56432 жыл бұрын
I think the best part about his arc is that in a way he already had his humanity and it took him doing what he did to want a soul. His redemption wasn't about becoming a good person or even getting a soul it was about realizing he had already done that as he fell in love with Buffy. Spike honestly deserved his redemption and I think it was so beautiful and clever how they did it.

The physical humor between 0:43 and 0:46 SENT me!!! Great editing, putting those back-to-back.

I love how as soon as he was inside, the light from the windows was no longer even a tiny little bit of a problem, but when he was in the car, it had to be blacked out to hell and back or he'd burn up. Thank you, Buffy logic.
@ForTheForsaken3 жыл бұрын
actually that makes sense. unless he is standing or sitting directly beside a window the sun hitting it from above and going down at a diaganol angle and will not hit him. In the car he is very close to all the windows so when the sun is hitting it from a diagnol or directly onwards he is placed between the light and the ground. Test it out for yourself in case I am wrong but it makes sense to me. The sun will never hit a house directly from the side because of the other objects in the way (other houses for example) but an open road in a car has no such objects to block it

@@ForTheForsaken yeah but what about the light from the window in the door directly behind him?

Buffy is the series that I watch again and again and again and Spike is so much cooler than Angel who is bloody lame and his hair goes straight up lol, angel tries to be funny but it isn’t the same Spike who has washboard abs and rock 🤘

Spike is the hot bad boy that every girl wants, and James Marstons was brilliant. I'm going to watch this a million times. Thank you. I agree Angel was lame. You marry Angel and shag Spike on the side.

That actor + those scriptwriters = lightning in a bottle. Spike may be the objectively best series character ever created.

So glad they kept him! And just when you thought he was gone he pops up in Angel💜. He was a better man than Angel and a better vampire. While Angel wanted to redeem himself for himself, Spike wanted to redeem himself for Buffy 💜

I've never seen an episode of Buffy but Spike is by far my favorite. His humor is fantastic but the moment that won me was when he stopped being "Spike" and was "William" when he saw Buffy after she was brought back to life.
