civus romanus sum means " I am a roman citizen" ich bin ein berliner means " I am a berliner" I'm not an expert on the time, but from what i know berlin was besieged in 1960s, it was besieged for 18 years thats where the berlin wall comes from, but when the city became un besieged the president of the united states john f kennedy came to berlin to make this speech. it was a great moment. research about it to learn more but that's the short version:)
