I bought the Glockstore Tungsten guide rod for my Glock 43 about a month ago. I started getting multiple misfires. Five misfires in ten Glock factory magazines. This is my personal defense gun so constant misfires are a problem. I live right down the road from the Glock factory in Smyrna, Georgia, so I took it to the factory and asked what the problem was. I was told that the Glockstore guide rod was causing the misfires. He also said it might be causing damage to the internal parts of my gun too (I'm not sure about that but that's what the Glock guy told me). The Glock factory replaced by guide rod with a factory guide rod. After putting in the factory guide rod, the gun has fired perfectly ever since. I sent Lenny an email asking him to double check to make sure the guide rods he is selling are not causing misfires. I've not heard anything back. I called them because I returned the guide rod to Glockstore for a refund but the refund was late (due yesterday according to eBay) and the Glockstore guy on the phone said they were "aware of the issue." This conversation was today. I love Lenny and his videos but I thought this was worth mentioning.

Lenny, My Glock 43 doesn’t have a gen4 stamp, but no other gen stamp either. Are Glock 43 Gen4 or Gen5? I would consider a Glock 43 “"Gen 4.5” as they have many Gen 4 and 5 characteristics like non rotating firing pin safety, coil spring slide lock, coil spring slide stop, and unique trigger spring assembly.... I'm thinking that, The G43 single stacks "do not" share design features with any of the regular Glocks therefore It might be considered a Gen 1 as it is single stack and completely different from all the other Glock platforms. But, I do not think Glock has given it an official Gen title yet. any thoughts?

If you notice, when he first pulls the stock trigger, he puts the weight bar further up on the trigger, shortening the torque moment applied to the trigger. Then when he adds the extra weight he applies the weight bar to the very tip of the trigger, lengthening the torque moment. Of course it’s gonna break easier that way. This video encouraged me to choose Taran Tactical and other companies instead.

Now when it comes to all of these "titanium guide rods" and trigger systems and bullshit machined slides ect, that's where they lost me and will never get my money for that crap. GS or not, I would not add a pinkie extension with out trying your carry ammo at the range. I had no problem with the last 100 rounds or so of ball ammo from a couple of manufacturers. Then I loaded a mag with my carry ammo, Fed HST. None would feed with a Pierce +1 extension. None. I see after market springs are now being sold to boost the force of the mag spring to account for extensions. Maybe I will try this but have gone back to the factory floor plates on all of my G43 mags. And yes I also carry a G19 so there is a reason why and when I carry a G43.

I'd personally not buy the tungsten guide rod. I've read they made the gun unreliable. I agree that the stock trigger saftey is a little sharp and trigger bite is a common thing when shooting this gun.
@israelmoran1427 жыл бұрын
This is ridiculous. The two things I changed on my G43 are Truglo night sights and added pierce grip +1 baseplates to the magazines. As far as the trigger weight vs shoot ability, I shoot it very accurately at 15 yards and can make 25 yard hits though a little scattered. Highly doubt a lighter trigger will make me into a better shooter.

Your trigger pull test is done incorrectly. Your placement of the trigger weight on the trigger will affect the outcome of the result. Similar to a seesaw, the closer to the firing pin (or middle of the seesaw) the more weight you will have to apply to pull the trigger. An example of obtaining a lighter and smoother trigger pull is to sweep the bottom of the trigger guard as you compress the trigger. For the record, the Glock 43 factory trigger is between 3.5 and 4.5 pounds pull.

The trigger isnt that bad, but I supposed they want to stay heavy on trigger pull to prevent accidental discharge? 1.5 lbs less would be way nicer though. Could always upgrade it,but if it was meant to be better lighter,it would have come that way

Shorter and lighter trigger mods are not a good idea for EDC guns. That can be used against you in court, if your weapon is "easier" to shoot, especially if the shooting is questionable.

not 1 gun video has answered the question will the 15 round shield mag for the 43X fit in the standard 43 is the magwell the same ? so I am asking the actual Glock expert here and why doesn't Glock remove more material under the trigger guard everyone has to dremel it out to get a better grip on the smaller guns .

ppl need to stop trying to buy shit to put on a carry gun altogether and get training. It makes it less reliable and the gun was made that way for a reason. esp a Glock.

by my estimates, his G43 would have a street price of about $740 for that I can buy an over priced kimber solo, which is smaller, I dont need to replace the trigger, and it looks cooler. And this is coming from someone who loves glocks,
