(GOT A REFUND) $89 Home Depot ceiling fan? Hampton Bay Montgomery II

These flopped in terms of quality control; many customers have complained about these making noises, wobbling issues, the plastic shade restricting the light output, pull chains breaking off from the pull switch, and even some complained of these not working at all.

Its a shame you pay all that money for a brand new fan and the quality is not good. I got a 52 inch harbor breeze centreville and it was the same price as your fan and i had problems after i installed it the same day. I got it December of last year. It is a spinning pile of junk and it moves no air. It is not fast at all. Now i definitely want to replace it as soon as possible. I dont like newer fans cause they are not powerful like older fans. Most fans today are not worth the money and the quality is not there.

Yeah I think I am going to either go with a Hunter or Casablanca next. A little bummed out about the quality of this one. The bearings are starting to get more noisy and I am only one my 2nd week of having it hung.

So update I contacted The Home Depot and they said I can take it back since it was not scathed.

@@demarkusthompson2867 I got my 74 dollars back and used it towards the purchase of another fan. That one which has to be ordered in is a 52" hampton bay carriage ii which has been a long standing model with a good track record. I will review this one when it comes. As for the Montgomery II, the reviews pretty much spoke for themselves with a 2 or 1 star review for every 2 good ones. Home depots customer support was cool and accepted the return of it because of the negligible quality. I will review the new one when I get it in store and hung up.
