Reminds me of the time when I applied to a prestigious college in London and got admission, but due to zero financial backing I had to cancel that plan. I went to a bit more affordable university with good reputation and I am quite happy here. It happens a lot to Pakistanis that they get visa denied. But I truly believe that you will do something great one day for your country, in fact you are already doing something great! Too bad for the New York film academy that they will be missing out of YOU as a student!!!

Hamza, something similar happened when I went for the U.S. visa interview. There were some issues with the sponsership and we could not get the visa at THAT time, but around 4-5 months of trying, we were able to get it . So I can completely feel what you must be going through but glad to see that you were still able to see some positivity in it :) Also, please check with them again and see if they are merely requiring more documents from you or if there is something that can be done, appeal anything. If you ever need any help just lmk!

Yep - Just do not get bog down because of that. I work for immigration and you will be surprised how many times people do end up reapplying. Here are few tricks - Get a visa consultant that is based in US and one based in Pakistan. Reapply after this omicron thing settles. Its really beyond me as to why applications are open if they are not giving the VISA based on Omicron.

There is no reason to get discouraged. What you are doing is much more than you can learn in school. And if you want to do this, you should apply again after the pandemic is over. It is very common for the embassy to refuse the visa on the first attempt. Best of luck. It is based on my experience as I am in the US for the last 30 years.

Admission to the University and visa are two different things. Admission does not entitle you a US visa. You must meet all the applicable requirements under the law to qualify for visa. There is always a reason for the refusal, but, unfortunately, that reason cannot always be communicated with the applicant. You appear to be in good spirit. Sometimes things happen for good.

You literally achieved a great mile stone , NYFA isn't a place that anyone can go to, it truly speaks a lot about your abilities. Visa wasn't in your hands , there must be a reason why it happened. Sometimes we're unable to see through things and our plans don't really work out the way they should and indeed Allah is the best planner. Also if you want to study film making , you can apply to options other than US, Beijing film academy , London film school, Lodz film school are other great options . p.s.they all teach in English too

Ask New York Film academy if you can defer your admission to the next semester/year. If you're able to defer your admission you don't have to reapply for the admission. And apply for visa again around the time of next academic semester/year. Hopefully, covid situation would have gotten better by then. It's common for students to have their visas refused so just don't get disappointed and apply again later!

Additionally, reach out to people at USEFP and Education USA, they might be able to help you with the visa process. Self-funded cases usually have go through this trouble for apparently no reason.

Many congratulations brother. NYFA is a really competitive school and it's definitely a great feat to get admission there. Were you applying for B1/B2 visa or F1? I have to apply for F-1 in a couple of months. So if you could share and give some suggestions I'll be really grateful.

There is no special suggestion. A lot of luck is required. If you have got admission in Top 50 schools, then there is 95% chance you get the Visa. But one think you need to make clear that do not give them the impression that you will be staying in US after graduation. But you do not need to overemphasize this point as overemphasizing would also create doubts in their mind. If they ask what is your planning after graduation, just reply I plan to come back as all my family is back in Pakistan. I have no idea why this youtuber vise got rejected. One of the reason is that comes to my mind is that this youtuber can earn illegal money in USA. You cannot work with F1 visa if you are not allowed by the school. And School allow you to work only for academic purposes in rare cases. When you are a youtuber, you can earn money in the US even when you are studying in the US even when no permit is given to you by the school. And the embassy would be quite sure that this youtuber would earn this illegal money and there is no way to stop him from doing so. A lot of Indian student do that by posting videos on KZbin and earn money but they are not youtuber before coming to the US.

There is no reason for the American to celebrate if you earn money from them and then spend it in their economy while sending partially to Pakistan in form of remittances.

Same thing happens with my friend, his visa was also rejected on 1st try for NYU. He was very upset. He write an email to university and in reply university as the US senator to mail the US embassy in Pakistan. After that he applied again for visa and he got selected. The person who was interviewing was amazed by the email they got from the US Senator. I suggest you to please do the same. You will got visa for sure. if you still need help i will give you his contact details.

You don’t know what you are talking about. A U S senator cannot direct State Department to issue visa to a foreign national.

Bhai I'm at loss of words right now! I'm extremely emotional and at the same time feeling so proud. So, I'd say it's a win-win situation, because you can easily get the Visa some other time inshaAllah. I loved the way you face challenges in life and it gives me happiness,. I'm kinda pessimist guy who has lost all hope in life and doing nothing for myself out of fear. Reason to that is, losing love and friendships in life.
