This reminds me of how, as a child, I made angels out of two Reader's Digests folding top and bottoms inwards to form two halves of the angel's body then gluing the two together for a 3-d angel. A Styrofoam head glued on the top.

Wow! 60 years ago in 4-H we made these from reader’s digest and Farmers Almanac to make a calendar and to-do chore list for our projects. We had no excuses to not be ready for reviews. Used later on with my Boy Scouts thru their years toward Eagle. Taught my girls to use this process to keep shopping coupons and budget for their weddings. So…. Mommy’s going to do this for ephemera! Thanks for the kick in the pants reminder!!! 💝while your gold is still wet could you whisk some gold glitter eyeshadow?!!

I've done that with pages to burn them (boring catalogs, etc) easier in the fire pit, but never thought of them as a handy holder ❤️ If the book is any thickness, you could just fold the center pages and leave some of the first and last for weighting if it lays flat nicely. What do you think? Hi, Holly 🖐️

I did it with you. I used a book that had 174 pages and it worked great. I'll glue it to a cover that I had messed up the spine when removing the text block. I was going to make a new spine for it after watching your video on how to do that...but...this was an excellent use for it! And now I'll have to make another one of these to use the other half of the cover. TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞

we used to use old white or yellow pages to do this or even an old Cosmopolitan magazine. I guess I am really dating myself! This would be great for a beginner to start off. You could see better what options you have available instead of putting stuff in boxes. This would also be good if you really were against tearing up a book for the pages. You would have to leave the cover on it but it might work okay.
