So the two guys who were fighting over Rhanyra’s hand were a Blackwood and Bracken, both houses have a long history of hating the other and have fought on opposite sides of every conflict they’ve fought on. In GoT, Brackens backed the Lannisters while Blackwoods backed the Starks. Let’s just say these two houses have a long history of fighting each other and fight over every little argument from poisoning godswoods, stealing horses or goats and even the name of a hill. I’m one of those A Song of Ice and Fire nerds who devours all the book material related to the series, while I wait for George Martin to eventually publish the two remaining books for the core series of ASOIAF. I loved the initial season for House of the Dragon and I am really looking forward to the next series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Since it is set in the time period period after the end of the Targaryen dragons, it should be a lot easier to create. It is full of some fantastic characters that will be wonderful to see brought to life on the screen. And from what I understand they are in the process of casting actors right now for this series. Hopefully we will see a new season on MAX each year rotating between House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms for a few years.

This first season of House of the Dragon was great. Daemon is my favorite character of the show. He's an asshole but he's the most interesting character in the show. His scene in episode 3 where he went in alone to fight off the Crab Feeder men while getting shot at by arrows just shows how insane and crazy he truly is but a same time a badass. It’s refreshing to see women react because you guys caught a lot of details at so many people miss like the white worm was working for Otto. I’m torturing myself through an entire reaction the other day where the guys actually were so all about Otto. And I was like they real right now? didn’t even like catch on the fact that he’s like pimping his daughter out. -- Re-watching also makes me see how much the first argument between Daemon and Viserys really was what broke everything. It really hurt Daemon what his brother said to him that Otto was a better man and Daemon knowing that he was just a sniveling fame pretender piece of crap, it’s like he never recovered from it. And even doing that sexy time with Rhaenyra like he really was going to piss his brother off at that, but guilt got the better of him. As it tends to do with her because he clearly loves her… The juxtaposition of Alicent/ Rhaenyra being like free getting to taste all these different things like you ladies are talking about getting to go out into the world and Daemon was trying to teach her you know that like you can have a life outside of your duty, but Alicent she is like in bed obviously doing something that is not liberating. Her jealousy really seems to be just about that she doesn’t get to have it and those experiences. Alicent doesn’t care if R sleep with somebody or who it was, she just wanted it to be her it felt. Ruffled me wrong that she used to Targaryen ancestry tradition against Rhaenyra. The realm excepts the valyrian custom. Uncle/niece isn’t actually a big deal in this time., Even a stark was married to a niece. Cousins was 100% normal. To everyone. They all did as our culture did too. This is when I started to get frustrated with her because she comes off like self righteous like her father. Folks can say a lot of things about Damon but what he’s not is hypocritical. Another thing that I loved about that fight in ep 4, with.brothers… was that he was super expressive of how much the Targaryen and Valyrian culture means everything. and really he’s the last of the dragon riders that hold that history of what it means to have a fortifyed Targaryen dynasty. Viserys is not a dragon rider just never had a lot of the dragon fire in him. So it’s almost like they were arguing over Viserys needling to strengthen; he’s jealous of Daemon as well. Viserys not having a grip on the fracture he’s creating. Because he just isn’t like Targaryens. Most people before him would have chosen a Daemon to lead at this point I think. His mistake was not marrying daemon to Rhaenyra from the beginning and ensuring a very huge Targaryen family that was solidified under one house instead of going off and creating a entirely new faction of the family with an enemy. Stupid! Look forward to seeing what you ladies think of the rest of the series!

Matt Smith is such a underrated actor even in Möbius the film is 💩 but he steels the show and is the only good thing about the film. The princess in this series is Danis 8th great grandparent. Disregard previous numbers rhaenerya is actually danaeryis's 6th great grandmother. Not sure why I thought 8th at the time. After re looking at her family tree rhaneyra is danaryis's as mention above. Viserys I is Danis 7th and his parents would be 8th.
