GOT RAIN ! FINALLY TEST THE RAIN BARRELS AND GUTTERS

Finally got some rain to test out the gutters and rain barrels I set up to collect rainwater for the vegetable garden ! It was a constant drizzle during the night and at 0500 i was up checking the barrels. The valve half way up the barrels were open unfortunately and they had been leaking when it reached that level so i closed them and about 3 hours later they were full and they overfill valve was draining water.Lol Did not think the barrels would fill up so quickly so i connected a hose to them to slowly drain the water out to keep from spilling close to the house.It worked great. Now i think i will connect a hose to the top overfill drain and let it just get full then send the excess water away from the house. Hopefully that will work from having to keep an eye on them. This is all new to me so things may fail but will learn from them. Hope you enjoy and subscribe ! Thank you for stopping by !
