the only way to get rit of rust bro is to cut it out or it will come back ,like a bad rash

I have no doubt it will reappear, and ideally that is what I would have done. C however said that I should get a good few years out of this repair and time constraints to get the car back on the road dictated that sanding was the way to go. One tip he did give was to make sure the rust has been dry for at least a couple of months if not longer. When the rust does appear again I will make a video detailing how long the repair lasted. You did it wrong. Rust comes faster than you think. Never apply polyester putty on bare metal because it is hygroscopic. For such rust pits you should give app r stop agent and epoxy primer on it. Then polyester putty, etc.
