One of the craziest garage sales I've been to in awhile!
Hi I'm Rudy and welcome to Rudy Works! I like going to garage sales, yard sales, estate sales, flea markets, picks, etc. (around different states and other countries) to find unique items from vintage clothing, video gaming, toys & vintage toys, art/photography, ephemera, retro/midcentury, home decor, electronics, weird cool stuff, antiques & old cool stuff, common items & more to resell for a profit. Sometimes I'm out on my skateboard going to community sales pushin & pickin or being a curb haggler it's the garbage pail kid in me aka Skatin Rudy.

They would of had to kick me out I would of been there from opening til I was out of money! Lol I saw some Coleman lanterns, were they not worth picking up or u might of been too overwhelmed to look at everything lol The white Stetson hat reminds me of the hat Alan Jackson used to wear all the time

What a great find. Too bad you didn't work out a deal to get first dibs on things. I always pass on motorcycle helmets, most of the time they are dry rotted out

Yeah I don’t buy them anymore but was able to get rid of the vintage ones. They have my info and I don’t know the condition, etc since I wasn’t able to see up close. Hopefully they hit me back but not sweating it.

The things that you walked past or put back down is mind boggling. You need to expand your knowledge. Those helmets, the typeset tray etc.

I don’t buy everything at one sale and it’s too hard to know everything. I had 10+ other sales to go to that day and filled my car at the end with great stuff. I check some things and prices off camera and if it’s not worth it I don’t get it. Like those helmets you can’t sell those on ebay unless they are new and I’ve had helmets before and they take long to sell and take up space. Those Typeset trays saturated at flea markets so I avoid them, not as popular as they use to be. I’ve bought those before in the past.

I don’t know how people can stand a bunch of strangers digging through their stuff, that’s why I hate when my wife has a garage sale. It’s nice to find some diamonds in the ruff, as long as it not my diamonds 💎.

I like being minimal not a hoarder so I would have garage sales. I don’t need to have my kids worry about tons of crap when I pass like a lot of old timers I know, it just ends up getting trashed when they pass away and being sold for pennies on the dollar. Haha.

I live in LA, good mix of old neighborhoods and modern but I travel sometimes to garage sales in other cities. The old neighborhoods are my favorite, lot of history too. Thanks for watching!

Sold comps of items on screen are brand new, the item you bought are used. Any chance you be more clear about what it goes for?

Lot of the comps that are shown on screen are mine that I already sold, I already made my money back on just a few items and the rest has been profit. As for new and used some items were new old stock items as well.

I avoid getting sellers faces due to legal trouble you can get into. Also it’s positioned where I don’t get stopped every time. If I have it at center chest in plain sight I get stopped or kicked out or talk for 10 minutes to explain why I have a camera and what I do when I have 5-8 other sales I have to get to in the same day, I edit that stuff out when it happens because it’s too long.

@@ShawnGilmer1 good for them but for me I use to get told to stop filming like I did when it was visible at center now I get to more sales than before after repositioning. Also it’s not worth going to court if sellers faces and their kids are shown on their property even though it is a public sale. We all edit our videos so getting yelled at, asked to leave, please stop filming, please blur my face, private conversations on issues is cut out of videos. Estate sales, garage sales, even flea markets where some sellers can be selling stolen/fake merch and we get told not to film and please erase it. The way I do it is comfortable for me because it’s not as conspicuous and I don’t lose any footage or waste my time if I’m asked to stop filming.
