Hi Matt, Nice video as always. I liked the loco video as well. I do a lot with washes, but I need to get better with the airbrush. 😊😊😊

Cheers Paul. I started with washes before I made the investment of a compressor and airbrush. It was good to learn the brush technique because you can still use washes after airbrushing. That said, airbrushing is so much faster and with better results.

Very nice! I have some of these in N scale I did a subtle weathering job on. You have me thinking about revisiting them now!

Thanks very much. Have a look on Facebook for the PROCOR group. Tons of photos to reference

Nice paint job.👍 Tamiya acrylic paint applied correctly with the airbrush. The beauty of Tamiya is you can add additional "Oil" paint filters over top with no problems as well. Cheers.😁

Thanks for stopping by Boomer. Defo on the oils. I use lamp black from winsor and newton as my 🌮 sauce. Any spillage or creep from the process gets airbrushed over. Lots of steps but each one adds to the history and believability. Cheers

Thank you! I use use a Harder and Steinbeck Ultra. They have a new version out. If you watch the CN 4762 video I go over both airbrushes I use.

Nice work Matt. I think those green Procor tankers carry ethylene glycol which I believe is used in the production of antifreeze.👍

Thanks for that Gene. I guess i should be seeing them around now that it's freezing!

Don’t matter to me , I am not proto type no era just run trains , mix and match, colour is always great , nice job on the tank car

Thanks James. Yeah, this one was more freeing. Usually try to stick to the photos.

Nice weather's job. Walthers has the early UTLX 23,000 Funnel Flow like PROX 75192. The TILX car like TILX 262163 can be made from a Walthers Trinity 25,000 tanker. The valve cover and railings have to be modified. RR Archives is off line and that's to bad. Hope it gets back on.
@mattw9667Ай бұрын
You noticed too. RR picture archives is the best website for us modelers. Said it's due to hardware replacement so maybe needs a new server. I'll take a look at the Walthers offerings but as I have 4 of these I'll likely just go with a semi-proto model. Thanks for your comment

Just so cool how you control the painting. When we are out railfaning, I try to capture the weathered cars. I just have to look at what pictures I took. Seen a lot of Black tank cars that the top end is almost a wash of rust! When you are up close with the rust, did you set the need for little movement? So really thinned paint to get a wash or faded look? I thought it would be less like 60-40.. Have you used the True Color paints before? they are enamel aren't they? I have some to do the CN engines. Great vid and thanks for moving the text over. I just want to wipe everything of the workbench and go crazy on the airbrush!!! LOL... it's the weekend..... Cheers Matt🍻 Earl

Do it Earl! I have no idea how to use true colour paint. I like the tamiya brand cause a little goes a LONG way and super easy to clean up.
