Got your p plates, now what?

When you get a driver’s licence for the first time you will be issued a ‘provisional licence’ for 2 years (or until you turn 19, whichever is longer). For the first 6 months you will need to display red P plates and follow the passenger and night time driving restrictions. For the remaining 18 months you will need to display green P plates.
