LECH in Austria: The MOST SCENIC skiing village of the alps

For everyone worrying about my well-being because of the avalanche that unfortunately hit a part of the skiing area today: my footage is from last years skiing season 2021/2022 so I am safe. I hope that everyone will be found and that there will be a Christmas miracle to get everyone out of the avalanche safely.

Allow me to suggest that it would be nice if you could include the musical credits listing the music you use in all your videos; that whistling tune at the end of the video really intrigues me, a lively "toe-tapper". If you ever make it back to Colorado, allow me to suggest the following: The Mount Evans Byway, North America's tallest paved road (12,620 ft.)- Highway 6 from Denver is the scenic route; Highway 285 starts in Denver and goes all the way up to Fairplay and Bailey, with beautiful Rocky Mountain views; and cross-country there's U.S.36 which starts in Indianapolis, Indiana and takes you all the way through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado to Denver, then continues all the way to Boulder- this was the original trans-continental highway long before the interstates were built, and it will take you through alot of wide-open spaces, beautiful farmland, and small towns, the "real America". If you do make these trips I can let you know all the good restaurants along the way. Once again, thank you for your work, be safe out there, and always keep the sunny-side up!

Way back in the mid to late 1950s well before I emigrated to New Zealand, I went climbing in the Tyrol and the Stubai, My base was Fulpmes, travelling there by train from Calais to Innsbruck and then Postbus to Fulpmes. I really fell in love with Austria and it is really the only place I have 'missed' since moving to NZ

Lea Stunning video! I have skied there many times. The whole valley is breathtaking. I stay in Stuben at the Mondshein which is my favorite in the world. From Stuben you can ski to St Christof, Lech, Zurs and St Anton and back! This video brought back some of my favorite skiing trips. Dear Lea, incredible footage! This brings back so many wonderful memories. I stayed in St.Anton in 2006. I spent a couple days exploring the slopes in the Lech area and skied the ring one afternoon. Wonderful, beautiful and amazing. I particularly liked the drone footage. I learned to ski in Myrhofen in Austria and so have very fond memories of the country. I now live in Australia and so it's a long time until our ski season!

I skied Lech and Zurs in 1965. I remember still the Mahdlocgjoch. I has changed immensely. I also rode motorcycle through Denmark, Sweden and Norway!

HI thanks for bringing back memories for me. I was there 32 years ago skiing, I was based near Innsbruck. On our roadtrip back from Nordkapp in August we visited Austria and the region where I met my wife to be in Mutters. I was shocked to see how much it has changed and I was saddened to see so much modernisation in the small villages. RIde Safe and Ride Your Dream. "Crosstourertony"

i was in lech 2 days ago abd its so expensive 1 week skipass costs 401eur but the views and the adrenaline going down the tracks is just insane and for me as a semi-profesional skier i would expect more jums but the food in Olympia italian restaurant was litterally the best

Have you done any skiing in the Rockies of the US or Canada? I wonder how it compares.
