But if you can see the generational family tree of JYP. Got7 exceeded 2PM. Then Stray Kids will follow in their footsteps and succeed more than Got7. Though they are not together. They will always be a part of history.

As you go through GOT7'S discography you'll notice there was a definite shift in the sound - that came when JYP finally started letting the members write some of their songs. We learned after they left JYP that all the members had written songs over the years, quite a lot of songs, but most were never approved by JYP. One of BamBam's songs was one of these unreleased GOT7 songs that he re-worked as a solo so it could finally see the light of day. Even when JYP did approve a GOT7 member written song it often had to go through a lot of edits before the company would approve the group to use it. From the stories we've gotten it sounds like the company was very strict about what they would allow.

The wildest casting story I've heard is yg scouts deliberately staying on rest stops for up to 3 days just so they can scout students on their high-school trips when their buses stop on those rest stops lmao Mark getting casted while eating a sandwich is legendary

Yay! Yes, no guide is perfect and nothing could contain every bit of information or history without being ridiculously long. Even the best are quickly out of date because time passes and life goes on. But it can be a good place to start and I am always grateful to those who make good guides as a foothold for new fans. Some things the guide didn't mention: GOT7 members have written/composed/produced the majority of their discography JayB and Jinyoung actually tied for first place at the JYPE Open Audition Mark's twitch is tuanzy. He also has an app where he updates fans on upcoming projects. 5:13 it's a tradition between the companies and it happens whenever one of the companies has a survival or a group is going to debut, i think the most recent comprtition was in 2017 where Stray Kids members competed against YG trainees ( including some TREASURE members )

Yep. The one with GOT7 members on in was WIN, YG's survival show to debut Team A, which is now known as Winner. The losing Team B debuted later on as iKon. You might want to check that out later, Caitlyn. Sprouts Winner, sprouts iKon, sprouts Day6, and sprouts GOT7 in one episode. Amazing!

7 for 7 and DYE are my favorite no-skip GOT7 albums. Jay B (def.) and Youngjae (Ars) released music on SoundCloud when they couldn’t with JYP. There’s some good stuff on there. I blame Jinyoung and Cha Eunwoo for finding my way to Kpop. If they weren’t good actors, I probably wouldn’t have crossed over lol Devil Judge is my favorite Jinyoung drama, but He’s Psychometric holds a fond place in my heart. Island is now my favorite Eunwoo drama, previously held by Rookie Historian Goo Haeryung. As always, enjoyed this reaction!

finally a guide to got7!! i agree with the there is no perfect guide, there would be a one or two miss, but they really help a lot. also i agree that scouting stories are very funny. one of the funniest to me was ryujin's. girlie just attended a got7 fanmeet to fangirl but a jyp staff scouted her, and she gave her number because she thought she was cute😭

This is the best guide I've ever seen! The editing was so perfect and it gives the main information on each member rather than little details that don't matter when you're just learning about them. More guides should be like this it's really perfect and that ending was so lit

For the record! I love watching reactions- even to guides! Because I can see what people I admire, think of other people I admire! They watch something that contains almost all of the information I wish it did and I can watch raw reactions that focus on every member. In music videos or something, often only a few really get pointed out, never really all of them. In got7, for ewxample, the member people often focus on is mostly jackson, sometimes Bambam as well (which does make sense ofc, both of them are awesome!!), but VERY rarely anyone else, for example like youngjae, who is my ult. So these guides are nice to watch, because everyone gets the attention they deserve!

Jinyoung’s movies: Yaksha (Netfl!x), Christmas Carol Another fact about Jinyoung: - Jinyoung won 1st place over 23k people in jyp open audition together with Jayb back in 2009 - Jinyoung choreographed some of GOT7 songs, including Thursday, Poison, Follow Me, 25, Just Right & If You Do (some parts) - Jinyoung also wrote, composed, and now produced his own songs (and many GOT7 & JJ Project songs) - he loves photography, has a loot of cameras (like Jayb), in 2017 they both opened a photography exhibition in promotion of their comeback ‘Verse 2’ - he’s very funny but also very caring - as you said he’s the husband material ㅋㅋ Thankyou for reacting to GOT7 and the members’ solo, i recommend their variety shows too like Hard Carry (there’s 3 seasons), etc. Anyway have fun in your GOT7 journey!! 💚

Omg, i didn't see that you reacted to this! I feel like so many newer KPop fans don't understand what Got7 did for the genre, their juniors in JYP, and each other. I'm sure I don't understand even half of it. Current bias line is ULT Jackson, biases Mark and JayB. 🥰💚 Love these guys and found them because of Jackson's solo music before expanding to all of them.

i will say that if anyone was an aghase in the early days, you might remember when things were a little rougher in terms of the group dynamic and how the members fit into the idol role. they have really matured as well as growing up and have come to different places with regards to how they want to participate in fame. i did notice a big shift when jyp started offering therapy for their talent in 2017/2018, for jb in particular. he's my bias but i did notice that he struggled with anger sometimes. he had to unlearn a lot of family stuff. that's why i'm pretty proud of him now. he had to work to figure out how to be the best leader for everyone and he did a good enough job at it that got7 owns "got7."

The YG vs JYP battle is a tradition first started between Big Bang and 2 PM after that we had WINNER + iKON against JYP trainees ( some members of GOT7 ) the last was between yg trainees ( some members of TREASURE) against STRAY KIDS.

I know I’m like 5 yrs late so idk if these things have been mentioned lol. But Jackson was a fencer and essentially turned down a chance to go to the Olympics to go to Korea and be a trainee. His parents were athletes too. I think his mom was an Olympic ice skater if I’m not mistaken. He even has a tattoo of the the Olympic rings And I’ve only seen one of Jinyoung’s dramas so far. It’s called “He is Psychometric “ and it’s fantastic and I highly recommended it. (He has a shower scene 👀😂😩)

About the battles between JYP and YG, it has been going on for years. It is almost like a tradition. It started back when BigBang members were still trainees. BigBang members went against YG trainees. Than it was ikon and winner members verses Got7 and Day6 members. After it was Stray kids members verses some YG trainees (some participants were later in Treasure Box survival show.)

This video makes me miss them so much, I'm happy we get solo activities though. That galaxy naming thingy makes me realize fans are as crazy as the members lmao I am happy you get to see their music from scratch, you will love it, also don't forget to put their subunits and Japanese's songs in your list. Their concerts and live stages are Gold so you would have to check them out as well, especially their only concert songs :) also their GOT the stage videos (stages for some of their bsides) Have fun.

This guide was really well made, at least compared to most kpop guides that offer a very narrow perspective, which can rather often feel like we're missing out on all the inside jokes instead of getting to know the group. I already knew a lot of what was mentioned, even though I hadn't watched this guide before (or any got7 guide I believe), but I really enjoyed watching this along with you. Perhaps we like guide reactions cause they can feel like hanging out with a friend and introducing them to one of our faves~

I enjoy your reactions so much! By the way, yes YG and JYP battled their trainees a lot in the past. GOT7 themselves battled with iKON and WINNER members. Even Stray Kids used to battle with some of the Treasure members (Yedam, Jihoon and Doyoung). Would be amazing (no pressure at all) if you consider on checking their battles which are all over youtube

Bambam and Chan were known as Chaotic duos in JYP.. Chan almost debuted in Got7 (TMI). You can listen to 4419 song from predebut album MIXTAPE of skz , where Chan wrote about the bus he took with Bammie to jyp during trainee days

Adding something about Jinyoung rq He was given the nickname “JR/Junior” because JYP didn’t want to share “his name” with an idol lol and would steal packages that Jinyongs mom sent him they were mainly food and care packages even one time took his kimchi package he was called out for it on an EP of Knowing Bros (good EP they roast jyp very much deserved)
