I might be in the minority when I say this (considering the Arc it is directly involved with), but despite there being no stakes involved because it’s a World Tournament/Tenkaichi, Trunks vs Goten is legit one of the best and most fluidly animated moments in the entire SERIES.

The crowd’s reaction was so entertaining and funny in this episode! I was laughing so hard when a woman was so shocked by that fight that that her ice cream spilled onto a guy’s bald head. Also, Bulma using Oolong as a punching bag while watching the fight is a running gag as she always used to do that in the tournaments from OG Dragon Ball.

Goten WITHOUT gravity training is on parr with Trunks to prodigy even though that was never the writer’s intent

It’s heavily implied that Goten and Trunks got the majority of their strength from fighting each other so much in the forest.

@@ritster21 that doesn’t matter it was 150 times gravity Trunks was training in Vegeta couldn’t keep up with Goku after 100 and this is after Zenkai boost and fighting ppl stronger than Goku so theoretically only way that would makenn be sense is if Goten got zenkai boost from constantly loosing to Trunks which hasn’t been implied

@@Cratossama That’s how, yes. Goten says he always loses to Trunks whenever they fight in the forest. Trunks comes over with his gravity strength. He beats up Goten. Then Goten gets that boost from getting beat up. Sparring together is always way more effective than trash gravity training. Trunks even says that Goten “somehow has gotten a lot stronger than the last time they fought”. Thanks to Gohan. Trunks’ gravity training gets balanced out from Goten sparring with Trunks and Gohan.

That's why Vegeta is always behind Goku. Goku goes off to find strong camps to train in while Vegeta is stuck alone at home in his gravity gym.@@ritster21

@@majungasaurusaaaa Exactly. Heck Trunks even implies that Goten has gotten a lot stronger than the last time they fought because of Gohan. Normally, one wouldn’t say that if there isn’t an increase in difficulty. Kid Trunks is probably thinking “What happened?! Goten used to be so much easier to beat up. Now he’s so hard.” For all we know, Kid Trunks always whooped Goten. Now because of Gohan, Goten has caught up to Trunks almost.

Now you see that's why I stopped watching Dragon Ball Z cartoons because it's racist how come all the other characters look normal you see how that black kid looks and you see how his lips looked and how he talked that's why I Dragon Ball Z is not my favorite cartoon I like 1983 cartoons like Voltron Transformers GI Joe the Gobots He-Man cartoons like that I don't like that new generation cartoons and Dragon Ball Z is the new generation cartoon for the 90s

Toriyama had no ill intention when presenting other races. Japan is so hemogenist that all other races... simply seem like... other races. Think of how the West presents Asians with very "Asian" features in the eyes. Even Japan presents the Chinese, another Asian people, with distinctly different eyes. If you stopped watching other cultures creations than you foster in yourself what you say you disapprove of in others. Asians rarely take in media from other parts of the world so they present the world as they know it in their media. If you were to create media depicting their world with little to on exposure would you present it in a manner they would?
