Anyone complaining about the animation of Hell's Paradise doesn't know the difference between Animation and Art Style. The Animation was magnificent, but the Art Style wasn't for everyone (I loved both)

Actually it's the opposite, The art style is not the problem, the problem is how they animated some scenes and character expressions. Everyone that says shit about the anime is because Mappa was so busy animating other stuff that they didn't give Hell's paradise the attention and care it deserved.

Seraph of the end is an underrated gem, definitely worth the watch! 24:50 a new season got announced like a week ago at jumpfesta! Probably bc it’s mappa so the expectations were really high and the behind the scenes stuff was a mess but it did have some pretty hype scenes as well. As a manga reader I do think it and the people working on it deserved better though because they were screwed from the start because mappa kept taking on projects they had no capacity for. Luckily that seemed to have slowed just a tiny bit after the jjk S2 debacle

You did well on this quiz. I didn't try keeping my score but most of the ones I knew, I didn't figure out until the third picture displayed. There were several here I never watched before. Fruits Basket and Magi took me too long to get. If the quiz had used the 2003 Fruits Basket pics, I would have got it sooner than the third picture. I prefer the first series of the show. I watched all of the seasons of Komi Can't Communicate & Food Wars and I didn't figure those ones out at all. Same with the series with Meliodas. I couldn't think of the name of the show.

I would count it based on which character image made you know the show vs when your brain finished processing the show title LOL. As someone that is horrible with names, I feel you Luke. Though personally I don't think it's in the spirit of the game / fair play to look away and give yourself four times as much time to get max points. So even though I suck with recalling names, I go by the picture that's appeared when the name comes to me. That just feels fair and like the right way to do it, even if that gives me a lower score then pausing or looking away.

That's the opposite of me. I feel like the challenge is on what character you can recognize the show at and not about how quickly you can remember the name of a show. To me, the "correct" way to play this, would be to pause at each image - as each consecutive image is a new hint and lowers your score. I actually think it's super impressive how quickly Luke can come up with the names - my synapses just don't fire that quickly.

Let's completely ignore the hundreds of 2nd key animators, animation directors, chief directors and multiple sub studios that were credited at the end of every ep and the hundreds broken drawings and off models. Let's ignore all the sad tweets the directors and animators made about how they were not given enough time and how incredibly disappointed they were in themselves. Yes let's ignore all that, there is nothing wrong with the animation. Even though multiple actual animators have said that it really bad, there is nothing wrong with the animation right luke? Luke I think you reached a point where you need to understand that when ppl hate some anime, they are usually hating the adaptation, not the story or characters. There is nothing wrong with hells paradise story or characters, the Manga is very popular and loved along the community. The issue was with the anime. The anime went through production hell. Same thing with Tokyo ghoul anime, no one is hating on the story. It's the adaptation that was bad and skipped/rushes most of stuff. There are multiple educational videos on KZbin explaining why the adaptation is bad. But someone like you who has no eye for bad animation/drawings will obviously not see the issues. But just bcoz you don't see it, doesnt mean all the hate is unfair. Anyway if you seriously wanna know what's bad about hells paradise anime adaptation, go watch Probably Pretentious's youtube video called "hells paradise looks bad". He is an animation student and explains clearly why it was such a mess in a way everyone can understand.
