The Korean terms that are used often - hyung = older brother (also used for really close friends) - maknae = youngest of the group - sunbea(nim) = senior Sometimes the younger members in a group will call their hyungs by their name without the term "hyung" on purpose to tease them and the hyungs would give them a death stare it's so funny😭

Hoobae is junior and the -nim at the end for hoobaenim and sunbaenim is like a respectful term when calling someone mostly at work or school, like sajangnim which is boss. Hyung is older brother when a boy is referring to someone older than him but if a girl would call them too it'll be Oppa. if an older girl is being referred by a boy it'll be noona but if it is a girl it'll be (e)onni. maknae isn't exclusively for band groups but basically just a term for a younger sibling or younger person in a group of people. just wanna clarify everything on the comment above :)

When you want to watch another introduction, there's a new Stray Kids 2022 guide which came out last month that a lot of STAYS haven't noticed yet. It complements this one in terms of showing footage that is almost all different. I think you would like it because you have already dipped your toes into the world of Stray Kids and are now familiar with who they are and what they can do. It starts with a discography overview which you can skim through to get a sense of how much more they have created, and then it moves into introducing each member fairly thoroughly (with no gratuitous ab footage!). The only thing is for each person, in order to highlight their skills, short song clips are used. Some people don't like this sort of approach as they feel it is too many spoilers. I personally don't find it problematic, as how else do you show off their skills, plus it might leave you with a list of songs at the end that you want to check out straight away because you liked how they sounded. They did it over a zoom call because many of them had covid. It was really chaotic and it's something you should watch if you're looking to laugh. Or the video "Stray Kids moments to get through the year of 2022" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWjKqH-PjqtqfsU) is a really funny video with recent clips. P.S : the "maknae" is the youngest member in the group. I.N is the youngest member, so he is the maknae. There's also "hyung" which means older brother, so as an example: I.N is the youngest so he will call every other member hyung.

You need to watch Kingdom: Legendary War. It’s a show with 6 different groups competing to be the king. Has Stray Kids, Ateez, BtoB, ikon, the Boys and SF9. Performances are amazing.

So this guide was not great, it is actually a bit frustrating since for Hyunjin they literally just showed pictures of him and some clips of him being dramatic. He is the third fastest rapper in 4th gen groups and 8th in kpop according to the 11 second rule (2021), he is also an amazing dancer and a choreographer with two full choreographed pieces (his most recent Play with Fire has 22 million views in 8 months) and he was Artist of the Month on October (Studio Choom), it has around 22 million views as well. Lee Know at least had his dance shown but he has an amazing voice as well. As for behind the scenes, they have “Making of” for all of their music videos and they all have English subs. SKZ Code is their own show, and frankly it’s hilarious. They are 23 ish minutes each. I highly recommend these bc they show the group dynamics really well.

Stray kids literally one of the funniest group in kpop. They are not trying to be funny but they are naturally funny and its way better in my oppinion. Also isnt it unbelievable to know Their oldest member ( Bang Chan - leader) is actually at the same age of BTS's youngest member. I always found this unbelievable, being this talented at this age is not something easy. Also here is an important info for you, kpop groups usually made together by companies. But Stray kids made together by their leader. their company ( JYP - btw its the same company as GOT7) said Chan to collect kids that he wants to work and debut with and he chose the members of STRAY KIDS!! You'll see in videos while you watch more in the future, the member's love respect for Chan is something you can never see in another kpop group. And for future reactions, there is more detailed and longer introduction videos and there is lots of LOTS OF content they created by they own but if you want to react some of their mvs or stages before watching more guides, there is a show called Kingdom Legendary War. Its a competition and Stray kids was one of the group the joined to it last year. ( no need to say they win it) you must see the stages on the show because they are just too amazing. Believe me your mind will blow! Start with Miroh performance please. ( and other groups at the show was soo amazing too. I actually would like to see your reaction to all stages both Stray kids performances and others) And for funny groups, you need to check some more GOT7 too. They are also one of the funniest group if they are not the funniest one. Also there is a group called BTOB. Its an older group and believe me its probably the funniest group in kpop too. and funfact they were also participated Kingdom with Stray Kids. I'm so glad you're enjoying!!! :) Something to be noted (which I'm sure has already been said). Hyunjin is known as a visual, but he is an INCREDIBLE dancer. When he was a trainee he was often told he could debut without even trying just because he was attractive, and those kind of comments really upset him so he worked REALLY hard. Before training, he had no dance experience, and now he's an incredibly talented dancer and he has several self-choreographed pieces on their youtube channel (Play With Fire and When The Party's Over). He was also chosen as Studio Choom's Artist of the Month last October, and did a performance to a Post Malone song, which was sooooo amazing :) And I HIGHLY recommend checking out the SKZ Code series on their youtube channel. Those videos are absolutely hilarious, I LOVE them. There are currently 2 seasons I believe, and each episode is worth watching :) Thanks for another awesome video!

I'm glad you're enjoying the group. There are some longer guides out there but this was the one I started with too and I feel like gives you a good basic intro. Stray Kids are so fun and lovely, they are absolute professionals, extremely hard working, very smart and versatile, and they have such a genuine deep love for each other you really become very fond of them. There are so many key things to learn about each of the members. I feel like it would be interesting for you to watch some of their Kingdom performances- it was a competition show last year, they pit five popular groups against each other and they do performances with different themes, covers, collabs. Their performances give you an idea of their creativity and skill. As for like, an introduction to fandom life- Stray Kids fans are called 'Stays'. Stray Kids produce a lot of like mini game shows or role play mini dramas just to entertain us really, but some have developed a kind of lore with in jokes that will pop up repeatedly. One of the major ones is SKZ Family. It started with this video [ kzbin.info/www/bejne/mniod6xpaZqejqM ] 'Stray Kids Role Play Gone Wrong' but the characters and the relationship dynamics get referenced a fair bit in bts stuff or other sketches they do. They did a sequel 'SKZ Family' [ kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoekfnVqqr6HldU ] for their third anniversary. But I feel like having a good basis in SKZ Family helps you understand references and jokes they make about their different dynamics. There are various good compilations and moments, but since you mentioned the word 'cuddly' I wanted to suggest one of my favourite feel good compilations 'Felix is a cuddlebug'. Felix has this super deep voice and can give this imposing impression in music or on stage but with his members he is a sweet, cuddly, very emotionally open person who Bang Chan described as their happiness. It also gives you a decent intro into another significant thing that threw me when I got into kpop- skinship. Friendship culture is much more affectionate and overlaps with what we might commonly assume was romantic behaviour, and 'skinship' is a word for like physical affection between friends. It's v heartwarming and shows how close they all are as a group too. Hope you enjoy your future explorations!

You should totally check out their funny content, fr these boys are the funniest, there are some really fun compilation videos such as "stray kids and their love for butts", "stray kids moments I edited for no good reason", " stray kids moments to get through the year of 2022" (this one is more recent*) Oh! And if your interested there's a ton of funny video on just the aussie line (Australian members: Bang Chan aka Chris & Felix), "stray kids aussie line being a mess" and there's some videos on our sunshine Felix cause his duality is insane "stray kids felix is a cuddle bug and we should talk about it", "stray kids-felix deep voice compilation #3" Beyond this I feel like the guide didn't really show just how amazing artists they are especially in terms of their self producing. Stray kids have 3 main members who contribute to self produce their own discography and their talents are always so overwhelming. They even have playlists on their straykids channel called "skz player" &"skz record" dedicated to showcase their own choreographed dances, self written and self produced songs. Another thing that the guide doesn't expand on directly is that all of them are all-rounders, all 8 can sing and rap, this isn't just one of the cases where the fans just believe they can because they're their idols, stray kids have actually proven their multitalent so many times and although it's true that most of them stick to either rapping or singing with stray kids its almost impossible to tell who will sing or rap when a new song is released

This was a short and not a very informative guide, so i recommend watching 'A helpful guide to Stray kids 2022 edition' by 'heliophilix'. It's kinda long but i think it's very underrated and helpful. Please react to more stray kids, I'll definitely watch all of ur reactions to them! ALSO i want to warn u, a lot of fans like to 'ship', which basically means entertain themselves overinterpreting harmless interactions between the members, so pls dont misunderstand; they have said multiple times that they are like brothers, close friends and family, and are VERY expressive and cuddly with each other.

I can see we aren't up to 2000 comments yet 😉, so I'll recommend the "rooms" maybe especially the 2 kids rooms, That's where I started as a reasonably new stay. 2 kids rooms are 2 members at the time talking with each other about their friendship, interests, feelings, thoughts, etc, while out side the room the rest of the members add their thoughts... It's surprisingly deep conversations, and you get an insight to their dynamics within the group. All of them are very observant and kind and so SO honest in these talks. It's such a gift to watch them like this. Hard to explain... But I have come to admire Stray Kids just as much for who they are as human beings, as for the performing skills! ❤️ Truly worth a watch. (If it's too long to react to for your channel, maybe just watch them for yourself... So worth it. And from what you show of yourself on this channel, I think you will love these rooms!)

I recommend reacting to the skz code series (which starts with 'winter is coming' ep1) bcs many of the funny clips you'll come across are from here and this series is just hilarious and very well loved amongst the fandom. Also the kids room series, which is more serious but more heartfelt, where their friendships and personalities are explored

If you want to see more of their funny side, you should check out their "street" version music videos. Basically for some of their B-sides they just go hang out somewhere and make up their own choreo and music video. They are N/S, Boxer (street), and Question. They also put out a tongue in cheek christmas song that is basically about how much they hate christmas, and the video is hilarious. It's called Christmas EveL.

Quick tip guide to pick them out faster. In the maniac video. This is only the maniac video . Trying to get you familiar with their faces here since there is a lot of close ups so that you can distinguish them better. Bang Chan- has the blue hair Hyunjin- has the red hair Changbin- has the black hair with the yellow/greenish streaks in it Jisung- is the rapper on the train with the white hat Felix - is the deep voiced rapper and he usually always has the platinum blonde hair I.N.-( maknae) is the one with the 2 different colored contacts in the cafe LeeKnow-(this video calls him minho as it's his birthname) is the one with purple hair who also hits the gorgeous high note in the very beginning of maniac in the Cafe Seungmin- at minute 1:19 in the maniac video he is the one singing and cutting the string over hyunjin, he also has braces which when I started with stray kids was how I defined him but unless you focus on all their mouths it would be hard to distinguish him from only that. You were also correct with the visual thing kinda it mainly means just the most visually pleasing one . The nicest to look at. Mankae means youngest. In korea hiearchy of age is a major major part of their culture the only thing that trumps the age is maybe if youre an authority figure in kpop it would be the leader. Hyung means oldest or older brother. The oldest member in stray kids is Bang Chan who just also happens to be the leader. Not every leader in each group is the oldest. Bts for example Namjoon is the leader but Jin is the oldest which is why sometimes if you watch their behind the scenes you see Jin motion to Namjoon to be quite and he does because it's the respect of him being older (however Jin does not usually pull his hyung card on the boys). 3racha in stray kids consists of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Jisung (sometimes he is called Han because it's his last name) . These 3 are the main producers , composers and writers of all of stray kids songs. They obviously ask everyone in the group of everyone agrees but these 3 are the main ones. Stray Kids do not have a main outside producer they write all of their songs themselves. Another quick kpop term is All-rounder which means the idol who is named is good at everything. Dancing, singing, rapping composing everything. They do it all around basically. In Stray kids Jisung is the all rounder he can do it all. This is even shown in the maniac video as he starts out by rapping on the train but also sings a magnificent high note at minute 1:25. If you also look up the relay dances or the fan cams of each individual member you can watch his amazing dancing skills. He is also like I said before part of 3racha so there are the composing skills. Sorry that this is so long just trying to break it down as best I can for you. If you have more questions I'll be happy to answer them for you . The best way I usually can differentiate between the faces and voices of a new group is looking up color coded lyrics and see who is singing which part and then watching the actual music video until I can remember the name with the face and voice. It makes me smile about how excited you are to get to know them and it's really appreciated ^^ Now for some recommendations to get to know them: -Skz-Code because it shows their groups dynamics well and it's just so much fun to watch~ -Vlogs. They have several vlogs of all the members uploaded regularly and personally that really helped me to get to know them better individually What I feel this guide has failed to showcase a bit is their 'concept' in general. Stray kids songs usually have a pretty deep meaning and heartfelt lyrics (even though the song might be super up beat). From their slogan 'Stray kids everywhere all around the world' and 'you make stray kids STAY(which is the fandom name)', to their caring and funny personalities, they really show themselves naturally and try to be as real as possible even if they're struggling ( like chan saying on chan's room about how stressed they are with their schedules after quarantine etc.). Also I would like to recommend you to watch Kingdom:legendary war. It's a show where several groups compete with each other in all kind of different themes (example: to the world, perform a song with a message that you would like to tell/show to the world). The groups who were on there are: ATEEZ, Stray kids, the Boyz, iKon, BtoB and SF9. I think you'd not only enjoy the upgraded versions of all songs but also be impressed with their ability to make new things (for example the kingdom round where they had to mix up the groups and create new performances in the categories of rap, vocal and dance). I feel like it's become quiet a must-watch especially for new fans because a lot of inside knowledge was created there (Example: mayfly, Group interactions, Wolfgang) So yeh that's it from my side! I'm glad you're having so much fun with our boys and don't hesitate to ask anything you don't understand! We'll explain everything you would like to know ^^ As someone who's a Multistan of soooo many groups (Multistan is someone that is a fan of several Kpop groups) I know it can be super overwhelming to get into a new group :3 so don't hesitate to ask and enjoy the ride!

One thing to note about this guide is it does kinda bounce between stage names and real names indiscriminately, which can be confusing for new Stays. Just to be aware that several of them have multiple names they go by; it's best to get their stage names down first, then you can start worrying about real names, nicknames etc. So just as a quick primer (because not every section title here matches the main name they actually _use)..._ *Bang Chan* *Lee Know* *Changbin* *Hyunjin* *Han* *Felix* *Seungmin* *I.N.* 3:35 Thing is, he does shit like _that..._ then gets _really_ embarrassed about it... 🤣And yeah, Chan is an absolute sweetheart. 4:30 Actually, this song playing in the background is basically a primer in itself to Stray Kids. He soon realised he actually _loves_ doing cute shit. 😂 9:00 To be fair, while that _is_ his voice, it doesn't actually match with the video. Please do another Stray Kids introduction videos! They are always so fun to watch even if you know who they are. They are some of my favorite people. They have a world tour this year and it should be amazing if you get a chance to see them. I don’t have a specific intro video to recommend but I’ve been vibing to Red Lights which is a song by Bang Chan and Hyunjin. I hope you will make a reaction to their songs such as gone away, winter falls, mixtape:oh, ex, neverending story, I hate to admit it (bangchan) and many more. These songs are quite different from their title track since it is a sad songs (based on what I felt). However it also as a proof of their singing skills and powerful vocal other than rapping. I thinks their song is very impactful because they made a song which related to problem that everyone have experienced so the songs are soothing.
