This song brings me to tears every time, it is just so beautiful. To me, this is the best version I have heard of this song. There are so many Christmas songs that they have. PTX at Christmas is magical. Their voices are just the perfect blend. Notice how they don’t look at each other, when they sing. It’s all listening to each other and feeling the music. I’m anxious for them to put out new music too. This has been an adulting year for them. Scott wrote a book with his husband and recorded a Grammy nominated single, Kirsten got married and is expecting baby #2, Matt and Kevin’s families both had new babies. They made a Netflix movie and toured much of the last six months. They just sold out MSG in NYC. I just saw them on the Motown Christmas special.

They performed this at their Christmas concert this year. It was so awesome! They even made up a song on the spot for us. It was a testament to their talent. And yes, she’s pregnant. She talked about it at the show.

Have you seen the video for the new Christmas one ‘Meet me next Christmas’? It’s good. It’s from the Netflix movie they just did by the same name. And yes - busy year. Matt and Kevin both welcomed new babies, and Kirstie is pregnant with #2. They are currently on tour, and just released the movie like a month ago.

I love acapella groups, this is an awesome version of this and anything by Pentatonix is awesome. There is a another holiday classic cover out in the last few days. i was a semi pro instrumentalist, you put so many hours in performing and perfection your craft, it becomes second nature. Your are constantlly listening to everything every tone in life but especially in performance. I rermember sitting in my car outside of a grocery store and a train went by sounding its warning and i picked the tones apart and found out the dissonance sound of a train is actually 2 major cords ie triad that are 1/2 tone apart. im assuming it because there are 2 sounding horns each would sound pleasing to the ear but put them together and it gets you attention

You beat me to the punch, Pam! A little backstory on that performance - Avi had to postpone the 3 Texas shows on that tour due to a family emergency, and when they were rescheduled to the end of the tour in mid-December, he wrote an arrangement of "O Holy Night" on the fly so he and the band could perform it as the last encore at the 3 Texas shows (Dallas, Houston & Austin). It was their way of thanking the fans for their understanding and patience, and it was well worth waiting for.

They were busy touring this year and they were in a movie. Kirstin is pregnant again. Not much new music this year unfortunately. I think they can just break into spontaneously at any time and sound better than anyone on the planet. Silent Night was recorded in a chapel in Europe (Germany?) while they were on tour. Also a group like them will probably not happen again in my lifetime. The odds of three kids meeting as children in the same town who become lifelong friends because they want to sing and perform together, oh and they have to be someome of the best vocalists in the country (or world). Then they have two find a world class bass singer (twice) oh and find a genius, multi lingual, multi instrument playing, perfect pitch tenor beatboxer. What are the odds of this happening again?
