Kingdom Hearts is, literally, Disney classics meet Final Fantasy. The plot of the first game was Sora, the hero, has seen his home town in a hawaiian island be swallowed by darkness, and is looking for his missing friends, Riku and Kairi. While on another planet, Knight master Goofy and Royal Sorceror Donald discover King Mickey has gone missing, but has left them instructions to find the keeper of the "key-sword", a weapon that will save all worlds, and help whomever has it... and Sora is that person. As for the different worlds, in the first game you visit classic Disney animation movies as worlds: Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Hercules, etc; while teaming up with characters like Jack Slkellington, Simba, Mushu, Ariel, the Beast... By the third game, the history had gone very convoluted because a dozen of side games in mobile phones and hand consoles were also canon to the plot, but Disney had opened their vaults more, allowing movies like Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tangled and Big Hero 6 to also be open for visit...

The awesome thing about the artist Utada Hikaru is that she is a fluent bilingual artist. She made two versions of 'Simple and Clean' and 'Sanctuary', a fast redition that you heard and a slow one that plays at the end of the game. On top of that she made both versions in English and Japanese. Also for this video they made it after to match the song perfectly which is why it is most people's favorite.

Would be cool to see reactions for all the opening animations. You heard the PlantiB remix of "Simple and Clean" from Kingdom Hearts 1 but didn't see the animatic. There's also animations for KH2 (which you just saw) KH Birth By Sleep, Dream Drop Distance, 0.2 Birth By Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage, X Backcover, and of course KH 3. Kingdom Hearts 3 has both a new opening, called "Face My Fears", and a ending called "Don't Think Twice". There's also a remixed version of "Simple and Clean"used in "A Fragmentary Passage". All openings for the series use one of these four songs. All the songs are by Utada Hikari, who sings them all in both their English and Japanese versions. On a side note: the games DO all have story. A common mistake for newer players is to think the side titles are unimportant- they're not. Every game adds to the story in ways that'll get you confused if you skip even a single title. That said, if you're ever interested, the best order for the games to be played/watched/reacted to is this- KH 1 KH Re: Chain of Memories* KH 2 KH 358/2 Days* KH Birth By Sleep KH Re:Coded* KH Dream Drop Distance KH 0.2 Birth By Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage KH X Backcover* KH Union X* KH 3 (+Re:Mind DLC) KH Melody of Memory *: Watching is highly recommended over playing

I’ve played every KH game and I’ve stopped caring about the story after BBS. The convoluted story is one thing but I hate how they handled the characters in KH3. A lot of characters seem to have character regression rather than development. Sora is dumber and less mature, Riku is more robotic, Kairi is back to being a damsel in distress despite being a Keyblade Master, Axel is comic relief, etc. I still think the gameplay is great though and it’s the only thing that brings me back, especially the Limit Cut DLC.

The original Japanese version of this track is INSANE. It has a standalone music video and I highly recommend checking it out. It's called "Passion" by Utada Hikaru. As for KH's storyline, it's very involved, but deceptively so. Each game truly doesn't have THAT much story, it's just very spread out over the course of many levels because of how they incorporate Disney worlds into the gameplay. (The exception to that being the X series on mobile devices - that's ALL story.) They inflate the story by having it scattered across so many games, so you tend to forget details between installments and it comes off as more confusing that it probably is in reality. KH2 was outstanding, though, and will stand out as a classic in the RPG genre for decades.
@Ytinasniiable
@Ytinasniiable Жыл бұрын
The problem is that the main numbered installments cover like 15% of the story, they've fixed it some with the re-releases adding more cross content, but it's still pretty jarring to start kh2 as an established character that wasn't even named in kh1
@TigStripe
@TigStripe Жыл бұрын
@@Ytinasniiable I once made a comment that I thought KH3 didn't have enough of the main story for my liking, because I knew Re:Mind was coming out. I was crucified by fans. The re-imports and expansions should NOT contain the main bulk of the plot.
@calebgoodman3028
@calebgoodman3028 Жыл бұрын
@@TigStripe Well... to be fair they did release every game before the re-imports which frankly speaking the Remaster took away more content than it gave. Then there’s the mobile games which are super important for story but not made for console only fans. The new one coming out might be though.
@TigStripe
@TigStripe Жыл бұрын
@@calebgoodman3028 This is all just evidence that the story direction was pretty garbled through the first arc of the series. It's okay. It's still a good story. They really did. That’s one of the reasons why I like people playing 358/2 Days instead of just watching the cutscenes in the all-in-one package. The cutscenes do help show their bond and how much they mean to each other, but the parts of the game they leave out just adds even more onto the bond that really helps drive home their friendship even more. (Plus you get to see the ‘Roxas…that’s a stick’ line and get to beat up Saix (which was cathartic in that game))

I just found this today and it was emotional and hilarious at the same time. Funny because your reaction was so cute. I love seeing how people react to my favorite things. Sometimes you kinda get to see yourself when it was your first time watching it. It was emotional because even without you knowing anything, you kinda hit it on the head with your reaction. This is when everything goes wrong, and you have to fight hard to get through a lot of story arc issues in one game, and it can be kinda sad to play. The main character just wants to bring his friends home and everyone (including Disney villains and homemade villains and anything and everything we can get thrown at in between, get in the poor boy's way. The one in red shorts is the main character. Japanese Role Playing Games love to be winding, long, funny, sad, stories.) Every game actually has its own opening, but there's only 4 songs total, most of them are sanctuary and simple and clean replays and remixes. There's also end cutscenes as well if you want to go in depth on the way the music changes with each game. And how heart-rending these cutscenes can be. There's actually 2 versions of sanctuary and one of them is written specifically for one character in the games. One intro that I want you to do is the birth by sleep 0.2 opening. But the cutscene won't make sense unless you watch the first birth by sleep opening. If you loved simple and clean, you can watch the birth by sleep opening on your own, then watch the 0.2 one with the really cool new simple and clean remix. And yes, Hikaru (H short i, K r oo) Utada (oo ta da) does all of the major music for the games. ..... they put Japanese names backwards... last name first. They're writing style is right to left so everything is flipped. I think it's cool. Anyway, I hope this finds you well and you have fun! KH3 got 2 songs... Don't think twice and Face my fears. So watch the beginning and end cutscenes for that game. I would do KH3 last if you plan to do others because it's the last one in the story. There's also different versions of a menu song called Dearly Beloved that all us fans adore if you do orchestral music. Sorry this was so long... cya!

Kingdom Hearts is an action JRPG with a heavy (but infamously convoluted and vague, after the first anyway KH1 is a pretty simple hero's journey) story focus. If you're not familiar with the term, games like Final Fantasy and Pokemon are JRPGs (or Japanese Role Playing Games) with turn based, menu based combat, where you take turns making choices, attacking casting spells, using items, and so on. An ACTION JRPG takes the menu, stat based systems of games like that, and removes the turn taking, so combat takes place in real time. Imagine in Pokemon, instead of pressing the attack in your menu and waiting for your turn to end, you selected attack, and then had to run up to enemies and fight them manually by running, jumping, dodging, blocking, and attacking. Put another way, in Kingdom Hearts, you run around wailing on enemies, leveling up, upgrading your character, and unlocking story bits to progress. Part of me wants to compare it to beat'em ups like Double Dragon and the TMNT arcade game, because it is going around beating up enemies until the last one dies and you can move on, but it's got platforming elements like Mario, exploration and puzzle solving elements like Zelda, and the Stat based progression and menu gameplay of some Final Fantasy. My GOD this gameplay is hard to describe. I don't know how much game experience you have so I'm sort of assuming you have none and going with it, but if you have some experience, the Tales of series is pretty similar, in terms of gameplay (I am not TOUCHING the story stuff, KH is like nothing else). It's got a few similarities to Fable, but comparing it to that might give you the wrong idea. KH is pretty unique, despite drawing from so many genres and game ideas. It's pretty fun. I'm not big into RPGs, and the story has just...simply lost me at this point...but it's pretty fun gameplay, good music, fun Disney settings. Really quality music and visuals. I think you'd like it.

Kindgom Hearts has an incredible ost from all the games. I recommand listening to "Roxas Theme", probably one of the most emotional one. Basically, it's an action based game when you kill monsters with brute force or more strategic tactics like magic or summoning. And its story isn't as complicated as people tend to describe it if you just listen and read what the game is giving you.

Some of the games will only have cutscenes because a lot of the games were on different platforms (Game Boy Advance, PSP, Nintendo DS, etc). All the games (except KH3) have the same 2 songs played, but different renditions. As the games progress, each game opening tells the story of what’s happened up to that point. Watching/playing KH1 and then going into Kh2 will leave you confused. So, you’ll want to play kh1 and then KH chain of memories and then KH2. Going from KH2 to KH3 will leave you WILDLY confused! yep Hikaru Utada voices all 3 OP's both Japanese and English versions. KH is an action RPG game where you go from disney world to disney world, fight enemies, meet each worlds main character and help them etc. and then you move onto the next world. There are some KH exclusive worlds you visit them too you can return to any previous world sometimes plot doesnt allow you to return to spesific worlds for plot reasons but they eventually open back up once you progress trough the story. Games are all focused around sword and magic combat Just like Final Fantasy. Square enix own both KH and FF so its understandable. Final Fantasy characters make cameo's in KH too especially in KH 1 and 2 even tho Disney has more focus most of the time. as you level up you gain either more stats or new abilities that you can equip and as you progress trough the story you gain different keychains that upgrade and change your keyblade. A keyblade is a magical weapon and its the most powerful weapon in existance with feats such as RESTORING THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. A keyblades power is directly linked to its wielders heart and it only chooses the ones with the strongest and purest of hearts and if someone were to loose that purity completely and loose themselves to darkness they loose their keyblade.... Most of the time. and also they can unlock any Locks both physical and methaphorical hence the name KeyBlade. They are giant sword shaped keys. They can also unlock gateways between worlds wich is how our group travels between worlds. Without the power of a keyblade its almost impossible. Some Keyblades even unlock hearts and seperate them from their bodies etc. etc. KH is the fantasy of going on adventures with our favorite cartoon characters we all had as kids. It has this fairy tale charm and is mostly whimsy and fun but has a lot of gut wrenching and scarring moments and can be REALLY dark at times cough cough Roxas (the blond character you see at the end of the intro) Cough Cough. Thats why I love KH. It doesnt shy away from being serious (and somewhat edgy) when it needs to be. I wont say anything about the story I dont wanna give spoilers so yeah this is what KH is.

Kingdom hearts is a deep deeeeep rabbithole story wise, with around 13 games. Where each game continue story of the previous game. it's an action RPG and is known for having a good and hard combat system. it's an amazing game series and it's easy to get hooked and it gets better the further into the game series you get. Some of the games were on handheld devices, but have been remade as a game and some of them remade as a movie. You can buy the complete package and have all the games and movies on one gaming system(pc, playstation, xbox and switch). Only thing that is missing from the complete package is the mobile games, but they can be watched on KZbin. Plenty of good collection of the "cutscenes/dialogues" that are relevant to the story.

Kingdom hearts has one of the largest stories in video game history spanning over 20 years of one progressing story every game must be played or watched in order to fully grasp every plot point or watch a nice long recap video of all the games so far I highly recommend it it's one of my favorite series and most of them are pretty heartbreaking which comes across in the music you just listened too. And yes it is a JRPG

Without revealing everything, but Kingdom Hearts is a series of games that gives tell to a storyline about their universe and the bonds of friendship. It began with the old Playstation 2 system, moved to the handheld game system, then back to PS2, then into other systems as the storyline continued. It's a rather complex game, which is heavily connected to Disney as popular Disney characters serve as support and secondary characters. I will state that between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, another game happened, which was designed for the handheld game, but later was converted to PS2. Not playing can leave confusion as what happened. You want game music, then check out music from the Final Fantasy game series. Each a separate game with a similar title.

Without spoilers, Kingdom hearts story centers on Sora, Kairi, and Riku. 3 best friends whose island paradise gets destroyed by the "Heartless." The heartless are shadow creatures powered by darkness. They get flung into the disney universe and have to find each other, while saving Disney characters from disney villians and original story villians.

There aren't just 3 like KH 1, 2, & 3 have different songs but every game has an opening and while they do reuse the songs of previous games it is remixed or is different to a certain degree so while I wouldn't recommend binge watching them all I'd definitely give each games opening a listen/watch.

Kingdom is a rpg level 1-99 story game that is a disney with some final fantasy characters. Three kids are on a island and Heartless (when people lose their heart but more their spirit they become a heartless,) destroy the world. You go to different Disney worlds. The intro is a basic recap of the important things. Games go in this order kingdom hearts final mix, kingdom hearts re:chain of memories, kingdom hearts 358/2 days, kingdom hearts 2, kingdom hearts birth by sleep, kingdom hearts re:coded, kingdom hearts dream drop distance, kingdom hearts 0.2 birth by sleep-fragmentary passage-, kingdom hearts 3, and then kingdom hearts melody of memory then kingdom hearts 4 (??) When it comes out not including the two phone games. It's a game series if you don't play the side games (not 1 2 3) you'll be confused.

These are some of my favorite songs, and I'm super excited to watch you react to them, but may I make a small suggestion. Watch the video in its entity without pauses, and then you can watch it a second and pause and talk about parts that stood out to you. You'll get a much better viewing experience if you don't pause every 10 seconds.

If you're planning on playing through this series, make sure you play/ watch them in order, and get ready to go through an absolute *TRIP*! it will be long and you have to 100% them all if you want full context for the next game. Some of the games have like a video version I guess you could call them, some of them only have a video version, and then I recommend watching a youtube video for the mobile game. KH doesn't just have 1 2 & 3 ether, here's the list: Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories Kingdom Hearts 2 Kingdom Hearts RE: Coded Kingdom Hearts 385/2 days Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Kingdom Hearts X (Unchained X/Union X Dark Road) These are the mobile games. And you say "cross" in stead of "X", but in the written name it's still "X". Ik, it's weird. Kingdom Hearts 3 (With the RE: Mind DLC) Fair warning: Spoilers below. Wait, this just made me realize something. The master key blade is called the X blade, but the X is still pronounced as key. could it actually be called the cross blade? Every one crossed blades in the key blade war. good and evil had to clash to create the X blade. The X blade's design looks like 2 blades CROSSING EACH OTHER! IT MAKES SOO MUCH SENSE NOW!!!!

As a giant Kingdom hearts fan myself! ^•^ Kingdom hearts is an action RPG with Disney and final fantasy elements. It's story is actually quite vast and if you're willing to go into it in my opinion amazing! Though some will say it's overly convoluted and complicated in my opinion it's no worse than a normal anime story when you get into the longer parts of the seasons. And for people who say the story is very basic I tell them, they're not looking deep enough and not actually taking the story for more than face value, as the games have deeper meanings in my opinion. ^•^ Ps. Kingdom hearts is a very emotional journey In fact I think that's its most powerful part and if you're willing to go through it, it's so worth it!

Kingdom Hearts is absolutely my favorite Action RPG. Since you asked here is the simplest synopsis of the series I can muster, but fair warning: Every single game in the franchise is important to truly understand the story, and I believe there are over 13 titles. Kingdom Hearts is about Sora, whose World fell to Darkness, and he needs to use the Keyblade, a weapon of Light, to find his friends Riku and Kairi. To do so, Sora teams up with Donald Duck and Goofy to search the different Disney worlds. They learn while doing so that Maleficent is kidnapping "Princesses of Heart," rare people with no Darkness in their Hearts, to construct a key to Kingdom Hearts. They eventually learn Riku is working for Maleficent, and I won't spoil any more than that. There are many good twists and turns for a satisfying story, but that's just KH1. It only gets bigger and crazier from there.

Final Fantasy 8 opening: Liberi Fatali (sincerely recommend this one) Make sure to also get the opening. FInal Fantasy 10 opening: Also recommend these. Kingdom Hearts is a crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney stuff so getting a taste of some of these other gems will be nice to go along with this journey. Also cause I think you'd really enjoy them in general. If/when you go to look them up Final Fantasy games use roman numerals so you'll see FFVII and FFX (I figured I'd use the numbers in case that helped you know which ones were which but if you search for those you should find them) I'm happy to add some links in on any of these to help you in the sea of videos and amv's and all those fun things. Glad you're going through these!

There's really no fully explaining the storyline without experiencing it yourself, it's pretty complicated 😂 But the basic premise is Sora is trying to reunite with all his friends while stopping dark forces that have their own agenda and get in the way, even if their intentions aren't always what they seem. The underlying message is all about fighting for what you believe in and those you care about, finding yourself through adversity, and how sometimes situations aren't always as black and white as they seem. It's a wonderful, heartfelt, amazing series if you have the patience to go through them all!

Kingdom Hearts is my favorite franchinse, but it isnt for everyone. It is one of those convoluted and complex stories if you look at it face value, but its a puzzle the rewards you the more you put the pieces in its place. It is very rewarding and emotional when you understand it If you are planning to play it, forewarning, there are alot of games. I recommend playing in Release order Kingdom Hearts 1 Kingdom Hearts Re:chain of memories (play or watch the cutscenes) Kingdom Hearts 2 Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (gameplay is tedious, I recommend watching the remastered cutscenes) Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep (This is where the story gets a bit tricky) Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (Play or watch cutscenes) Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Kingdom Hearts Union X (cross) (not a game, but a cutscenes based off important story from the mobile game) Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (This is a very short game set as a demo for Kingdom Hearts 3, but i liked the story for it) Kingdom Hearts 3 + DLC (ReMind) Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory (Just a rhythm game, only importance is the FINAL cutscene) Each game takes about 15-20 hours if you are not trying to 100% it. The ones i recommend watching the cutscenes take about 2-3 hours each

Kingdom Hearts is a JRPG, a japanese role-playing game. In simplistic terms, it's an anime story that you play as a video game. JRPGs tend to be incredibly long, deep, existential, and potentially incredibly emotional games. They also tend to be incredibly confusing with their plot, often starting as a simple adventurer and ending with killing the physical manifestation of a negative emotion turned evil god XD They are fantastic and Kingdom Hearts is one of the more famous ones, combining Disney characters and worlds with the incredible minds behind the Final Fantasy series. Speaking of the Final Fantasy series, I fully recommend you reacting to some of their music/openings/plots as well!
