love your BM reactions, can´t wait for more. But when you said "the best live performence" that scrached my German pride! The best live band on this planet is Rammstein. I guess you know that band, because it fits right into your musik taste and they are HUGE, but for the small chance you don´t know them PLEASE react to the following songs, so we can claim the titel of best live band :) Important to note: The lead singer is a licenced pyrotechnican and he shows his craft, and i recommend to read a translation of the song after you watched the vid while reacting, those are quite interesting sometimes (Mein Teil...) 1. Rammstein: Paris - Du Hast (Official Video) (hearing a huge crowd singing in german in paris allways gives me chills) 2. Rammstein - Engel (Live from Madison Square Garden) 3. Rammstein - Mein Teil [Live Hurricane Festival 2013

The venue is the iconic Nippon Budokan, built as a martial arts arena for the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. Countless major music stars have performed at Budokan: The Beatles, Deep Purple, Queen, Cheap Trick, Bob Dylan, ABBA, etc. Several of them recorded famous live albums there. It's considered an honour to play at Budokan. Babymetal played two consecutive nights (Red Night/Black Night) there in 2014, a few months before they began their conquest of the west. I think I'm right in saying that they were the youngest artists ever to have played there. They returned for ten shows in 2021 to (belatedly) celebrate the tenth anniversary of the band. Anyway, that's enough infodump. Great reaction! Babymetal is all about generating a strong emotional response. As Su-metal says, "Don't think; feel." It's clear that you did. Cheers!

Thanks for coming back with more BM songs. Karate is one of their strongest weapon along with _"Road Of Resistance"_ back in 2016 when this song came out, you got the official MV with beautiful visuals and a more clear story about this song meaning. YuiMetal was still there with the group when they used to performed this song, one of the powerful moment you can see with SuMetal improvisation and crowd control is live at Download Festival 2016, go for it whenever you want, we don't get tired of any of their songs. This version is live at Budokan 2021 celebrating their 10 years with 10 live concerts throughout 4 months. The third backup dancer filling the spot is called an "avenger", so YuiMetal isn't here, only SuMetal and MoaMetal. This live concerts was made with stricted measurements due to pandemic, so the crowd couldn't shout, crowd surfing or mosh'sh pit, they were allowed to stomp their feet, clap hands and jumping in their own place. Karate is about fighting no matter the obstacles and to face your personal demons to keep going on, is full of positive message and the music drives you from a heavy groovy nu metal sound into a more emotional and piercing SuMetal vocals that can make you choke up in no time. Thanks for sharing this and keep watching our recommendations. See you next time and kitsune up! 🦊🤘

It is a killer venue. It's the Budokan and was built to host martial arts events for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. It's one of the best places in the world to see a concert and many western artists (Bob Dylan, Blur, RHCP, Ozzy, Clapton, Deep Purple...) have released live albums that were recorded there. The venue is invite-only, and in 2014 when BABYMETAL were first invited to play there for 2 nights, they were the youngest artists to ever do so.

Other than: 'link&sync', you just tell the viewer when you are going to click the link and then you press play together so they can watch it in a separate window/other device/screen). Some have done live reactions on Twitch. That's a performance which will show you Babymetal doesn't need a fancy stage to blow you away. They can do it at a festival as well, if not better.

Especially, when Su hit the high note flawlessly at the end of the beautiful performance with her matured rich voice, everything was soothed. Fans knew Team BABYMETAL had gone through hard time in 2020 and 2021 that were supposed to be glorious years to celebrate their 10th anniversary. This 10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts in Tokyo were held including the period under the states of emergency caused by COVID. Even many of their fans criticized the Team for taking such risks to hold the big events then. They, however, challenged the situation and took strict and perfect countermeasures against the infection to complete them. The audience, of course, cooperated with the Team and abided by a number of restrictions and accepted inconveniences to protect the events and make their shows ultimately successful. That is our pride as BM fans.

Dunno if you'll see this given how old this video is, but I may as well give it a shot: One of the reasons why you may have never seen participation like this in another metal group's concept is quite easy to explain - BABYMETAL is, after all, a fusion of metal and Japanese idol pop music. Audience participation in idol music is quite commonplace, and most people seem to forget BM's idol origins.

Great reaction. BABYMETAL earned their "Best Live Band" awards - and the rest of the awards they've won (about 30 so far I think). 'Karate' is about fighting adversity, when life knocks you down and everything seems too hard so you're hurt and crying, its about standing up and fighting on, helping each other through the hard times. They used karate to illustrate this as it is a Japanese martial art and reflects their culture - it is also all about always moving forward, which is BABYMETAL's own philosophy too. They did watch a lot of martial arts movies to get ideas for the choreo as they wanted it to look as authentic as possible (but they are not martial artists, so maybe the experts might not be so impressed).

They did! So deserved! And the message behind this song is such a strong and important one! I'm loving them more and more with every song! No one like them! ❤️🤘

"Karate" is an amazing song. It was the 1st of their songs that I ever saw and the 1st Japanese song lyrics that I can sing the entire song without the track playing. With that being said, your emotional reaction shows that words can impart feelings and meaning, even if they are not in your native tongue. The song talks about fighting your demons (the official video plays that out, as well) and self-reliance. All of their songs have some message to pass to those who listen (sometimes dealing with girl-specific issues and peer pressure , and other times, just letting you know what kind of bubble gum they chew ). The common theme in their repertoire is AMAZING musicianship, SPOT-ON vocals, and LOAD of incredible choreography. At the age of 50, I have been a fan for about 4 years now. Yui-metal was my favorite but the "Avengers" more than make up for her absence. Su-metal has got THEE most incredible voice anyone could ask for in a singer, and Moa-metal is the band's plucky talented backbone (and more, obviously). It's a whole other story with the actual musicians, though. Do some homework on those guys, It's a good mix.

PS, make sure you check out "Black Babymetal"! It's a really cool spinoff that Yui and Moa do on their own while Su rests(?). I suggest Onedari Daisakusen. You'll thank me later.

BTW! The thing you were saying about the audience participation! That is called a fanchant and it's a really big thing with most idols from Japan and Korea (and probably other places too). It's a fun way to participate and not sing over the artist's voices. You can watch fanchant videos on youtube, they are super fun! You'd probs enjoy seeing how synchronized the crowd can be.

My favorite song by Babymetal is the song "Kingslayer" that they did with "Bring me the Horizon". It's a heavy headbanging song...I love it. There's not a video but here's the link to the lyric video so you can listen to it on your own time. The crappy lyric video has 25 million views...that's how good the song is. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHzciamEoKyEgcU

Wonderful as always, brother. As the guys said, the MV is the go-to here. Make sure you pay attention to the "where" as much as the "What" in regard to which songs to react to, they are by no means "equal" once you factor in all the aspects of each performance. Whatever, I could go on forever so I'll just enjoy what you're doing. Take care brother, hope to see more soon!

Yeah probably the only the The One (as the fandom is known) will tell you check the MV out. Mostly we say go live for their songs.

@@paulbenwell3560 yeah live is almost always the way to go but karate is just fantastic cinematic work and captures some good feels. I prefer the mv for megitsune as well but thats just me. P.s. Luke, I'm gonna double down on my comment that you need to react to the Babymetal guide before you go any further or you're going to miss something. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXXRlmOurNOcisk

Great Reaction for a very powerful song by BM. Crowd control and crowd interaction with "call & response" is BM's incredible talent with their on-stage presence and talent and is second to NONE !! Another you should check out is the live version of "Megitsune" from "BABYMETAL - Megitsune Live at Budokan 2021 [SUBTITLED] [HQ]" which is also from the same venue as your Karate reaction. Artist who perform at the Budokan venue in Tokyo, Japan are be INVITE ONLY. BM holds the record for the youngest band to have ever performed at the Budokan. Su was 16 while Yui and Moa were only 14 on the dates of their first Budokan performance in March 2014.

"The band could be their own band"... They actually are! At least the drummer and bassist, the guitarist unfortunately passed away in 2018. They have released their own stuff under the name "Kari Band" (which means Temporary Band) Check out the song Kari Band - Samurai Groove, you can find the video on KZbin with the name "仮BAND / 侍Groove【Music Video EDIT ver.】", would make a good reaction I bet :)
