The genre you are talking about that this is from is called “isekai” (pronounced eeh-seh-kai) and it covers anything to do with being brought into another world rather it be through reincarnation, being straight up summoned to another world via ritual, or anything like that and a lot of series in this genre end up being ridiculously similar to each other and this one in particular is built around and heavily portrays obvious aspects from 2 major shows of the genre “that time I got reincarnated as a slime” and “arifureta from commonplace to world’s strongest” while also adding some new twists. Most animes you can find in this genre(with a few exceptions) are oftenly low budget and don’t really tend to turn out to into masterpieces of shows like some of the others you have reacted to the openings of but all the same they are still usually quite decent so they are perfect for people such as myself who find themselves running out of shows to watch

Spider endings are some of my favorite endings for any anime because they’re sung by Yuuki Aoi (who voices the main character), who has an incredible singing voice- but she sung them in the main character’s voice which is even more impressive (she also did this for the ED of Saga of Tanya the Evil). She is seriously one of my favorite VAs because she has incredible range, both in voice acting and singing.

Yesss i’m so glad you reacted to this! I personally love this anime. It’s gorey, hilarious, unique, and the plot is great!The story can be a bit confusing at times which I cant explain cause it would be a spoiler. The general plot of the anime is that a normal classroom of students suddenly exploded and all of them got reincarnated into a new world. Most of the students got reincarnated as normal humans but the main character, got reincarnated as a spider in the most dangerous dungeon in that world. The parts with the humans can be a bit “meh” at times but every moment with main spider character is GOLD and super entertaining!

dude it was so funny seeing how confused you got from the openings to the endings LOL. The animations for the ends are just the creators having fun with it but the ending songs are actually the voice actress for the main character Aoi Yuuki (the spider) singing about everything that happens to her in the show. You would definitely love this show it's so good. I definitely recommend it after you finish your first twitch anime the concept behind both shows is very similar.

Just so you know, if you watch the first ending with English subtitles the song basically explains the entire show. The spider sings about how they were reincarnated as a spider are is upset that everything wants to kill her. It’s a show about survival as a small weak spider in a video game-like word.

Sekai refers to the world whereas Isekai means "different world" or "other world" so it generally means there's the original world the character comes from and they end up in another one. Tensei, as Pedro said, is for being reincarnated; but calling it an isekai still works if the person gets reincarnated into a new world.

Couldn’t have been more perfect timing. I just recently caught up with the light novel, and let me just say this series is great! Its world is actually pretty brutal with a sad backstory, but when watching the perspective of the main character it just becomes fun times all round with her chaotic inner monologues.

The Spider series is PHENOMENAL! Explaining the whole "spiders wearing hats" is difficult to explain without spoiling, but perhaps the simplest explanation I can of the series is "MC is reincarnated as a Spider type monster in a fantasy world" and the majority is their struggles adapting to the world and surviving the insane reality they are now a part of. The endings are mostly a "for fun" thing (so don't be distracted by the concert themes) but the first one at least does a great job of telling the story when translated to english. Highly recommend this series since while being an "Isekai" (other world series) it is one of those where the MC winds up in a different kind of situation from the common trope with the theme. (For starters, reincarnated as a monster rather than a humanoid.) This whole thing is about going from "the frying pan, into the fire, into the volcano, into a star, then back to the frying pan to keep going". If you can manage to watch this series without cracking the hell up, I will be incredibly impressed.

Aoi Yuuki is one of the best VA's in the in the industry, she's the main character and you also heard her singing in the ED. "Reincarnation genre" is called Isekai 🙂 The story is about a classroom on Earth getting nuke by unknown magic and everyone in it dies and reincarnates in a fantasy world, with the difference being our MC reincarnated as a Spider.

A big theme of the show is mystery so the less you know the better, but if you enjoy the OPs and EDs then you'll love the show. This anime, man, I love it so much The setting is pretty interesting, and the main character is the cutest damn spider, her shenanigans are highly entertaining. Unfortunately the studio responsible for it had a lot of issues, and about half the actual episodes or more had a major drop in production quality. They managed to turn it around for the last episode of the season, but it was probably too little too late. I hope they manage to either remake it or get the go ahead for a new season, but I'm afraid there's probably not much chance of that happening.

The ending theme is especially the first one is just Kumoko ranting about her life after being isekai-ed. It's so chaotic and all-over the place which also reflects the turmoil and sufferings she endured after being reincarnated. This show is good, a recommended watch. They just had some production issues during the latter part of the series which was very apparent but it is still a fun anime never the less.

IT FINALLY HAPPENS!!! These songs are just so good, I knew you would like them! And, yeah, the endings are kind of a trap XD. The show has a few issues with its production value, but the story really carries it. And the way the story is told is something I've never seen anywhere else. It's about a bunch of people reincarnated in a video game like fantasy world, the protagonist in particular ends up as a spider, and she is just trying to survive in the dungeon she was born as the weakest monster possible. It is very gory, but it's pretty safe to watch, that outfit in the opening is the farthest the show gets in that direction. Next for recommendations... well, it's hard to top these songs, but "Tate no Yuusha"/"Rise of the shield hero" is still very good. After that we dive in more obscure territory, and I'd say "BTOOOOM!!!" is a great option to go there as both openings were done by Nano.

When it comes to this anime a good rule to follow is to take your first assumption and throw it aside as theres a very high chance it is wrong. This anime isso full of plot twists that it will frequently catch one by surprise watching the first time, and thats something I loved. If you have not done so already I would HIGHLY reccomand you give it a watch through.

The full version of the first ED is UNHINGED But to be honest, I can't honestly recommend the show, because yeah, it has amazing moments, but it also has huge lows

'isekai' genre i think just literally means 'other world' and includes a variety of stories - reincarnation, traveling to alternate universes, anything in between. I think they establish the premise pretty early on - an entire classroom of kids (and teacher) is isekai'd into a fantasy world. The MC in particular was reborn as a spider, but the show does check up on the others from time to time. But she's always the best part. And ... she has a bit of an imagination. Spends a lot of energy inside her own head.

The anime IS good. Especially the mystery of the underlying story you need to figure out gives it a nice twist and makes it fun. But unfortunatelly because of bad direction and production issues it looks not as good by the end.

Fun fact, one of the parts in the ending says " AAA donwannadie!donwannadie! I WANNA LIVE!!I WANNA LIVE!! Being eaten alive is absolutely the worst, I hate it here!" but that part changes every episode or so

The Double-Wraparound-Rope-A-Dope: We let you THINK the title about a spider is about a spider so you think it's NOT about a spider, then you see a spider which makes you think it's about a spider. Then you find out it's not about a spider, but a girl. She then turns into a spider. Mission Success. The end theme reminds me of Dragon Half. Love the MC's voice!

This is my favorite anime i am also reading the light novel of it because at the end of the anime is what I think is a big cliffhanger which was only resolved in volume 15 while the anime covers volume 1-5.

as a rule of thumb... you can ignore the endings from the plot perspective... but it can show you often the personality or state of mind of the characters...

In short and without spoiler this anime has two perspectives one the spider (that the community called Kumoko-San since she doesn't have a name till chapter 100+ in the light novel) and the boy with blue hair, basically a Japanese high school class was reincarnated in another world that is similar to a videogame fantasy world (a bit like dnd) the spider has to fight and evolve so she can survive, the anime is gory yes (but not on the level of attack on titan) but not so cheeky has it seems P. S. The singer of the two ending is the voice actress of the spider

Without spoilers this show is about a classroom of students being reborn in a fantasy world. The main protaganist (known as Kumoko or "Spider Girl" by the community) happens to have been reborn as a spider monster instead of a human. Its not technically a spoiler but it should be noted that as the show swaps between character perspectives, it also hops around in the timeline. For example, we are introduced to the first human classmate at age 15, as opposed to Kumoko who we follow from birth. These characters were transported/born at the same time.

5:20 Fun fact: spiders actually do this in real life as a sign of happiness or (mostly tarantulas) there are kicking hairs at a predator. Yes, arachnids do have hair and their are so thin that if this hairs gets on your skin, it will have a similar feel to touching a cactus bare handed.

The part where you can see four spiders together reading in a room doesn't mean that she goes to a magic school for spiders or anything of the sort, it's a representation of main character's skill Lateral Thinking, that allows her to have several copies of herself in her mind, that way there is one "her" in charge of moving the body, another in charge of strategies, another in charge of making magic calculations and another one actually casting spells.

Reincarnation in general is Tensei, but it usually falls into the Isekai( ee-say-kah-ee) genre, meaning “other world”. Usually, someone dies, and is born again as humanoid, or something off the wall like a monster or object. Isekai on it’s own can occasionally be just being summoned or stumbling into a new world.
