Wow. Im not sure what it is (looks like dress to me, I guess it could be a coat too though) but that first garment of the fashion reel at the end was amazing - as everything was, but it was my favourite from this haul. Which is interesting - I usually don't have favourites, but there was just something about it and how you looked in it that was amazing. I love the job you did changing the colour of the lining on the coat - makes such a huge difference. :o)

Wow, love both of those coats! The leather one turned out really well! I'll have to keep that textile paint in mind if I come across any items that need some recoloring but can't easily be dyed. I already have a pair of leather ankle boots that I repainted from brown to black so I'd actually wear them, and knowing that I can goth up a good shoe style that's the wrong color has been a life-changer.

Nice coats you totally scored! When you painted the fabric though, did it still maintain its original soft flow or did it stiffen? Its hard to come by fabric dye for synthetic fabrics. So I was just wondering about that.

It did get a *little* stiffer, but apparently that paint is the best one available for remaining soft and flexible when it's done drying and they weren't lying. I was a bit worried about it getting stiff, but I was willing to risk it, as there's no way in hell I would wear a pink coat. . .and it was totally worth it. It's still quite soft and flexible considering the amount of paint I rubbed into it. I actually can't wait to try that paint on other projects now!

We're in Canada and it was FREEZING the day we filmed this. I think it was around -7 degrees celcius, which I know isn't that cold in the grand scheme of things, but I definitely regretted not bringing a warm jacket with me that day! I do wear skirts all winter here though; I just layer fleece lined leggings underneath them

I was going to say, it's really difficult to dye synthetic fabrics at home. Using the fabric paint was probably your best bet.

I wish! I'm not able to make it this year, unfortunately. When they were booking rooms the border still wasn't open and things were still too up in the air with covid for me to commit to it.
