I have a tip for people with hooded eyelids for this!! Darken your crease! It makes the eyeliner rubbing into it less visible! Hope it helps :p

Absolutely brilliant! As a 14 y/o girl who is getting into the Gothic culture (Thanks to my mother), this has helped me a lot! I have been looking at quite a few tutorials and a lot of them go extreme when the video was meant to be for beginners. But this has helped me a lot considering i'm still 14 and I don't want to go the full way (Yet). Again, thank you so much! Defiantly a new subscriber! Edit: Also! I like how you suggested cheaper yet good quality makeup for those who are wanting to go into a Gothic turn, but don't have the money to buy expensive makeup/brushes.

It baffles me how people can do their liquid lipstick so perfectly with just the doefoot applicator! Mine just turns out wobbly and messy, and I struggle to follow my lip shape accurately (often ending up with the corners "too think" instead of pointy like < > and my bottom lip is a real struggle too) so when I use liquid lipstick I start off by using a brush to outline and then fill in the rest directly with the applicator.

This was a very nice video to do! It is really good especially for beginners but also works well for people who may be more experienced with goth makeup who need to "tone down" or make their look more, I don't know, easy to digest- for certain audiences? Sometimes one doesn't wish to spend 20 minutes or more on elaborate makeup but still want a dark look or to pull off the black lipstick without it looking overdone or out of place. :)

I wish I had tutorials like this in my baby bat era at 13. I think we all looked pretty ratchet in that stage since we didn't grow up with KZbinrs. I looked a hot mess! Black unbounded shadow EVERYWHERE. Unblended, uneven and looking like a crackhead racoon. This is such a beautiful look without being over the top. As a baby bat I thought i had to pack on as much black as possible. Had to learn the hard way a little goes a long way when it comes to just starting out.

Black eyeliner used as eyeshadow can be lightly topped with face/baby powder to make it matte and also used as lipstick with same method.

Anastasia has a matte black lipstick in traditional stick form (not liquid) that is FANTASTIC. It’s inky black and stays on without getting super dry like a liquid lipstick, and it doesn’t get crusty when reapplying. The shade is “Midnight”.

I wish you could be my sister lol. I've been into goth fashion for a while but my makeup has always been lacking - never had anyone to teach me, and youtube videos often left me feeling lost. Like, I didn't really know exactly what a primer did or that other people also had difficulty with eye pencil (just thought I sucked at it). So thank you for the in-depth and friendly explanations - I just followed it and my makeup looks better than it ever has! (kinda sad since I'm in my late twenties... but... whatever lol).
